Heavy Rain for PS3: Pre E3 2009 Info

Topic:

Heavy Rain for PS3: Pre E3 2009 Info Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review

In terms of its capabilities, the PlayStation 3 is probably the beefiest console on the market. Unfortunately very few games even start to take full advantage of the PS3's hardware. That's something Quantic Dream intends to change with their brand new Action/Mystery game, Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer.

In Heavy Rain, players will control one of four intertwined characters as they work to unravel the mystery of the origami killer. This is big news; Atari is a fixture of the gaming industry, and the fact that they are going to be absent from the expo says a lot.

Atari's been trying to morph from a normal game developer to a fully online game publishing house. Their decision to absent themselves from E3 sounds like it was primarily due to a time crunch. A company spokesperson said,

Slim Sony PS3 Rumor for E3 2009? Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review

The E3 news parade continues. We've just come across rumors from PlayStation Lifestyle that Sony is getting ready to reveal a new hardware redesign at E3. Details are lacking right now, but a lot of the current buzz suggests that this 'redesign' could be a slimmed down version of the PS3. According to PlayStation Lifestyle,

"When we caught wind of this, the exact word “redesign” was used, which leaves me to believe that it is indeed a PS3 slim.  Announcing a different color wouldn’t exactly warrant the term “redesign”."
