JVC Everio GZ-X900 aka Everio X hybrid HD Camera unveiled
JVC unveiled the new Everio GZ-X900 that features a complete redesign and some cool new features.
JVC calls the Everio GZ-X900 or Everio X a hybrid. Seems this term gets a bit over used in the camera world. Samsung announced yesterday the hybrid Samsung NX cameras, meaning something different with hybrid.
The cool feature of the Everio X is the ability to shoot simultaneous 5MP still photos while recording Full HD video – photos can be shot at shutter speeds as fast as 1/4000 second without interrupting video recording.
The Everio X is a small, light, all-in-one camera that offers the powerful shooting combination of Full HD video and nine megapixel still photos

JVC Everio G GZ-MG670 HDD Review
Our review partner Digital Trends published a review of the JVC Everio G GZ-MG670 hard-drive camcorder.
Quote from the review: "The first of the new 2009 camcorders are finally hitting stores. Unlike the onslaught of low-priced (sub $200) video capture devices like the entry-level Flip Mino, models such as the GZ-MG670 have critical things like zoom lenses, better picture quality, bigger LCD screens and tons of others creature comforts that make them at least twice as expensive - but still much better deals in our view. Take the just released MG670 for example: It has a 35x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD and 80GB storage (19 hours at best 720 x 480 pixel quality). Compare this to a Flip Mino with no zoom, a poor 1.5-inch screen and 640 x 480 clip quality. Basically, there is no comparison. However, the Flip and its brethren are extremely compact, and made for video sharing on YouTube. Both are features millions want and use every day.

JVC Everio GZ-HD40 120GB Camcorder Review
Our review partner Digital Trends tested the JVC Everio GZ-HD40 digital camcorder and published a review.
Quote from the review: "The inexorable march away from tapes and discs has picked up steam in Camcorder Land-and this trend will continue until MiniDV and DVD home video makers take their place on the obsolete shelf next to Walkman cassette music players and analog televisions.
This won't happen overnight, but it's happening right in front of our eyes as flash-based and hard disk drive camcorders win-over the public and take share from competing formats. Basically, it's the iPod Phenomenon dramatically reshaping the camcorder biz.
According to industry execs, tape and DVD cam sales are dropping while the new-and definitely cooler-formats take over. Almost all of the recent releases were memory card, flash or HDD based. And many of them are high-definition. I'm a big fan of high-def hard drive camcorders because their storage capabilities can't be beat. It's great not worrying if you have enough blank tape or DVDs for saving memories. And the small size and weight of flash-based models is also a winner.

JVC Everio GZ-HD6 Review
The test lab at our review partner Digital Trends published a review of the JVC Everio GZ-HD6 digital camcorder. The reviewers gave the GZ-HD6 an Editor's Choice award.
Quote from the review: "At the January Consumer Electronics Show, a flotilla of high-def models were launched and they’re slowly coming to the proverbial store near you—including the new JVC GZ-HD6. This $1,399 USD camcorder is a far cry from the crappy MPEG-4 video makers readily available for a 100 clams. Although barely good enough for a YouTube opus, people buy them because they’re cheap—what a shock!

JVC Everio GZ-HD7 Full HD Camcorder Announced at CES 2007
JVC announces at the CES 2007 the first consumer full High-Definition 3-CCD camcorder capable of shooting and recording full HD images (1920 x 1080i).
The JVC GZ-HD7 uses three 1/5-inch 16:9 progressive scan CCDs designed for HD use in a diagonally offset pixel configuration to generate the high resolution image for recording in full HD. The Red and Blue imaging CCDs are shifted a half-pixel both horizontally and vertically relative to the Green imaging CCD.
Because the pixel-shift system uses progressive scan CCDs, signals are processed first as 1920 x 1080p progressive signals, then converted to 1920 x 1080i interlace signals for recording.
JVC also is the first to use the Broadcast HD Video Camera Fujinon Lens in a Consumer Camcorder.
