iPod Scam Lands 23-year-old some Federal Charges Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Federal charges have been made against Nicholas Arthur Woodlands from Michigan who was running a scam against Apple that resulted in him stealing somewhere around 9,000 iPod shuffle music players from the company over a period spanning March 2006 to October 2007.

Apple sued the man in June 2008 and now federal charges are pending against Woodhams. Woodhams was somehow able to correctly guess the valid serial numbers of iPod shuffle units that were under warranty and had Apple send him replacement products. Read more

PalmOne LifeDrive 4GB PDA on Sale

PalmOne LifeDrive 4GB PDA on Sale Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Launching products during E3 is maybe not such a good idea. Anyway the rumored PlamOne LifeDrive Mobile Manager is now available for $499 from the PalmOne Store.

Amazon.com, which leaked LifeDrive photos a couple days ago, is not offering the new PDA yet.

The LifeDrive features a 4GB hard-drive, built-in Wi-fi and Bluetooth and 320x480 TFT screen with 16bit colors. It runs on a Intel 416Mhz XScale CPU with Palm OS 5.4 (Garnet). The only other PDA I know that features a 4GB hard-drive is the Sharp Zaurus SC-C3000, which only sells officially in Japan.

We reported about the LifeDrive Mobile Manager rumors a couple days ago.

Rumor: PalmOne LifeDrive Mobile Manager

Rumor: PalmOne LifeDrive Mobile Manager Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review There have been already lots of rumors about a new PalmOne high-end PDA with a 4GB internal hard-drive.

First it was called LifeDrive, then Tungsten X and now Brighthand reports that the name will be LifeDrive based on a leaked Powerpoint presentation they saw. The PalmOne LifeDrive is also supposedly starting a new product line called PalmOne Mobile Manager.
Rumored specifications of the LifeDrive include: 4GB internal HDD, 416 Mhz XScale CPU, 64/32MB, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, etc.
