According to AppleInsider analysts see Apple offering their biggest Black Friday sale to date amidst price pressure from notebook and netbook vendors.

can get into a virtual ring with their idols when THQ launches its newest
videogame "WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009" this week.
Virtual wrestling is big business and a perennial best seller among gamers. THQ
Inc enlisted top talent including World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of
Fame member Dusty "The American Dream" Rhodes and current superstars Randy
Orton, Johnny Swagger and Beth Phoenix for the latest game.
"The first time I saw myself in the game I was excited but I didn't realize the
importance of videogames within the history of WWE at the time," said Rhodes,
who is now a trainer.

Fanatec Renn Sport Racing Cockpit is Gaming Sweetness
Fanatec has announced the latest addition to its line of racing simulation gear. The new item is called the Fanatec Renn Sport Cockpit that is specially designed for the force feedback effects of Fanatec racing wheels. The cockpit isn't for the faint of heart with a price tag of $995 plus shipping from Germany.
The cockpit uses a real racing seat that is fiberglass (a full carbon fiber seat is $300 more) and made extra wide. The cockpit is constructed in an aluminum roll cage. Fanatec is offering a free carbon fiber seat upgrade to the first ten orders. The seat is fully adjustable as is pedal placement and wheel angle to allow easy adjustment to the needs of the driver. Fanatec RennSport Wheel Stand Unveiled
Fanatec has announced something that many gamers have wished for for a long time, a stand that folds down and holds a racing wheel for use with a game console or PC. The RennSport Wheel Stand is designed to provide a stable base for force feedback racing wheels like Fanatec's own 911 Wheel or the Logitech G25.
The stand also works with Logitech's Driving Force series of wheels as well as the Microsoft Xbox 360 Racing Wheel. Adjustments for height, wheel angle, and pedal position allow customization to individual users. Rubber pads on the base help prevent slipping while playing. Monopoly Fans Help Set Guinness World Record
Monopoly players around the world teamed up to help set a Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Simultaneous Game of Monopoly. To set the record it is estimated that 3,361 players joined in the game from around the world on August 27th.
The final participant tally is pending verification from Guinness World Records. Fans played in cities around the world and online to help with the record setting attempt. A new version of Monopoly is also available for mobile phones. Read more

While hoards of geeks were waiting in line Friday to get their hands (hopefully) on the new iPhone 3G ZAGG was handing out accessories to those waiting in line. ZAGG’s Bulky Case mascot was handing out its great invisibleSHIELD products to people in line.
I have to say that the ZAGG commercials you can see at the weblink below are pretty funny. I particularly like the dock and download one. ZAGGS big yellow case mascot was on hand in NYC, Chicago, LA, Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco and Denver. Read more

Rogers tries to calm iPhone Fans with 6GB iPhone 3G Data Plan for $30
Rogers got a lot of heat from Canadian customers and Apple for the expensive and restrictive monthly plans for the iPhone 3G. Today along with their iPhone 3G launch plans the carrier announced a sweet promotional offer for customers who activate by August 31st on a three year contract.
Rogers offers a data-only offering of
6GB of data for $30 per month that can be added to any in-market voice plan.

EA Sports Integrates Fantasy Football into Madden NFL 09
Electronic Arts has announced that EA Sports Fantasy Football will be launching a new website at fantasy.easports.com. The site will offer fantasy football applications specifically for the Xbox 360 and PS3 game consoles later this summer.
The web-based fantasy football service is free but PS3 and Xbox owners will need to pay for the download. For the first time fantasy football players can play their teams in Madden NFL 2009. Users will also be able to download the EA Sports Football Live draft Tracker to provide a fantasy draft with the fanfare and presentation of authentic pro football drafts on the PS3 or Xbox.
