Father of the iPod leaves Apple

The WSJ reports that senior executive Tony Fadell has left Apple. Tony Fadell is senior vice president of Apple's iPod division and also known as Father of the iPod.

Mr. Fadell apparently approached Apple with the idea of a portable digital music player paired with a download music service back in 2001. The rest is history. Read more

Circuit City Survey Finds what Dad’s Want for Father’s Day

Circuit City has conducted a survey of dads to find out what exactly they want for Father’s Day. I am here to tell you that a tie or coffee cup doesn’t make the list. The survey said that 75% of dads feel a GPS would make the quality of a family road trip better.

The survey showed that 30% of dads thought a portable DVD player was important, 27% thought laptops were important, 24% said MP3 players, 23% said handheld games and 20% said upgraded car stereos. I guess we can assume the items ranked as important are the items dads want as gifts. Read more
