Pure Digital Technologies introduced the new Flip MinoHD high definition camcorder today. Amazon.com sells the Flip MinoHD for $229.99.
Walt Mossberg from the WSJ already had the chance to test the new world's smallest HD camcorder and published a Flip MinoHD review.

BlackBerry Pearl Flip Now Available to Purchase

In September, BlackBerry officially announced its new Pearl Flip smartphone. The device has Wi-Fi with support for Wi-Fi calling and web surfing. A 2MP camera with digital zoom, flash, and video recording capability is featured.

The 2.4-inch internal screen has a resolution of 320 x 240 and Stereo Bluetooth is integrated. We already know that T-Mobile will be the exclusive provider of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip from the introduction in September. T-Mobile and BlackBerry announced today that the Pearl Flip 8220 is now available to purchase. The device retails for $349.99 and T-Mobile is offering a $150 instant rebate and a $50 mail-in rebate for customers with a new 2-year agreement. Read more

RIM today unveiled the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone, the first BlackBerry phone to come in the flip form factor.
The quad-band EDGE based BlackBerry Pearl Flip smartphone features a chrome-finished frame surrounding its smooth, luminescent face. The 8220 weighs 3.6 ounces and measures approximately 3.9x1.9x0.7inches.

Features of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 include light-sensing color display with QVGA resolution, an external secondary LCD screen, Speaker Independent Voice Recognition (SIVR) for Voice Activated Dialing (VAD), Bluetooth 2.0, SureType QWERTY keyboard, 2MP camera and Wifi. Read more

Virgin Mobile Adds Kyocera TNT Flip Phone

Virgin Mobile announced today that it is adding a new, cheap flip phone to its prepaid lineup from Kyocera called the TNT. With a name like TNT, you might expect a cool phone, but it's really just a basic flip phone that Virgin says is perfect for those who want simple things in a phone.

The TNT is available now at major retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, and RadioShack at a retail price of $20. I am sure there are customers looking for cheap, prepaid phones and, at $20 the TNT fits the bill. Read more

The Retro Flip Clock is a Must Have

Seeing the Flip Clock offered now by ThinkGeek immediately took me back to my childhood and reminded me how fascinated I was with this type of time display.
The numbers of the time display fall in place with plates that rotate against a bent metal finger that releases them only when it is the next plate's turn to fall. What really got me wondering as a kid was if the plates just had half of the number printed on them. When falling the plate revealed behind fits the backside of the fallen plate - magic! Read more

One Million Flip Video Camcorders Sold

When Flip Video first announced its camcorder line, I didn’t think much about them. Since the introduction of the Flip Video camcorders, over 1 million of them have been sold in the US according to Pure Digital Technologies.

According to research firm NPD, the Flip Video Ultra is the best selling camcorder in America. The camcorders are all digital and ideal for uploading video to sharing sites like YouTube and MySpace. Pure Digital also announced that the Flip line was Mac compatible not too long ago. Read more

Flip Flop Phone is Perfect for Maxwell Smart's Beach Vacation

If Maxwell Smart decided to go to the beach, this would be his flip flop of choice. The ArchPoint shoe has been seen before with a wallet inside the heel of the shoe. The company now says that it has plans to make a sandal that has a spot for hiding a cell phone.

Before the concept can come to market the company says it needs to find a hardware maker that can build a device rugged enough to be stepped on all day and withstand dirt, water or the goo that is on the floor of your local movie theater. Read more

Verizon Wireless has announced that its FlipShot by Samsung is now available in two colors. The phone will come in black or red and both colors will have the same features.

Features for the phone include a camcorder function, living wall paper, PictBrige printing, V CAST Music and Video, speakerphone, Get It Now, Messaging services, VZ Navigator, Mobile Web 2.0 and PIM functions. The display is 240 x 320 pixels and the display has 260k colors. Read more

Verizon Wireless FlipShot Phone Now Available

Verizon Wireless announced that it's latest Samsung phone, the FlipShot, is available today. The FlipShot has a 3MP digital camera built-in that features digital zoom. The camera can also act as a camcorder.

The display is 2.2-inches, has a resolution of 240 x 320, and reproduces 260k colors. The phone also features animated living wallpaper. The camera has a self-timer and built-in effects like B&W, sketch, antique, negative and emboss. Read more

Helio Launches the Thinnest Flip Phone Around Called the Fin

Helio launched a new phone today called the Fin. The Fin is a flip phone that ahs all the nice features you expect in a phone today including a 3 megapixel digital camera, GPS, 3G web access and 100MB of internal storage.

100MB won’t cut it for music enthusiasts, so there is a microSD slot for expansion as well. Helio also claims that this is the thinnest flip phone in the U.S. at a mere 11.4mm thick. Read more

OQO 02 Versus Flipstart is Apple Versus Microsoft

As reported last week the Flipstart is about to ship (first appearance 2004!). Rob Enderle from Digital Trends takes a look at the OQO 02 and the Flipstart ultra portable windows XP PCs.

The article points out that OQO is founded by former Apple people who worked on the Apple Titanium notebook. Flipstart backed by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen is of course all Microsoft. These heritages show in the product design pretty strongly.
