Of course free always comes at a price. In this case you need to sign a contract that is at least $79.99/month (AT&T Nation 1350 w/Rollover) for 2 years.

I already love Amazon for tackling this nasty problem. I hope they will succeed in changing the way gadget makers package their goods on a big scale.
Amazon is focusing first on two kinds of items: those enclosed in hard plastic cases known as "clamshells" and those secured with plastic-coated wire ties, commonly used in toy packaging.

By Tarmo Virki and Paul Sandle
HELSINKI/LONDON (Reuters) - Nokia hopes giving away the Symbian technology used
in its high-end mobile phones will encourage Internet developers to build
innovative applications on the platform, helping it win back market share.
A freely available Symbian operating system to be controlled by an independent
foundation would reinvigorate the platform because developers of new Internet
applications in areas such as social networking and navigation will be more
likely to use it as a platform, Nokia said on Wednesday.
