FujiFilm FinePix S8000fd Review
LetsGoDigital published a review of the FujiFilm FinePix S8000fd digital camera.
Quote from the review: "The Fujifilm FinePix S8000fd may be an enhanced digital camera with a megazoom onboard, but the competition is strong and cannot be ignored. And that’s the problem. Working with the Fujifilm S8000fd camera is pleasant in itself, although I cannot get used to the structure of the menu and I really suggest some innovation on this field.

FujiFilm Finepix S5 Pro Review
LetsGoDigital got their hands on one of the first pre-production samples of the FujiFilm S5 Pro camera and published a preview/review of this new DSLR camera.
Quote from the review:
"The Fujifilm feeling can best be described as the way in which Fujifilm approaches imaging. On one hand, there's the technology of the hardware, and the way in which the image is formed internally within the camera, on the other hand there's the feeling that they have looked at the picture in more depth.
You can notice that technology and innovation from various divisions have come together to be included in the Fujifilm S5 Pro DSLR.

Another FinePix Camera Churned Out By Fujifilm
This time we're talking about the S6500fd, a pretty stunning 6-megapixel camera. What sounds most interesting is what they're calling their "face detection" feature. It can actually detect up to 10 faces in a picture and will then optimize it so that the people become the main focus. I'm wondering if this option can be toggled on and off, because sometimes you want the scenery to be the main attraction.
Anyway, another cool thing is its rapid, ready-to-shoot specification. Instead of waiting seconds on end for the camera to start up, you turn it on and 0.8 seconds later, it's ready to take a picture, with an amazing 0.035 shutter lag. Wannabe paparazzi photographers, you'll definitely have to check this out.

Fujifilm's FinePix Z3
In a press release, Fujifilm today announced the launch of their newest product, the FinePix Z3 digital camera. This is the latest addition to their relatively new "Z" series of cameras, and is plugged as the successor to the FinePix Z1, which leaves me wondering what was wrong with the FinePix Z2. The Z3 defines itself as a lightweight, super-compact camera that still has the ability to catch great pictures. It sports an array of nice features, like i-Flash, which automatically corrects the exposure to create more natural looking backgrounds.
The camera also has picture stabilization, which is quickly becoming the norm among higher-end cameras, and "Natural Light" shooting mode, which helps to get better pictures in low-light environments. David Troy, a senior product manager at Fuji, says, "The FinePix Z3 has combined Fujifilm's rich photographic legacy with the style and sophistication that made the FinePix Z1 such a popular digital camera."

Fujifilm FinePix S9500 / S9000 Digital Camera Preview
LetsGoDigital got their hands on an early pre-production sample of the new Fujifilm FinePix S9500 digital camera, called Fujifilm FinePix S9000 in the United States.
This new FujiFilm is a next generation hybrid digital cameras that has a Super CCD image sensor on board. The Fujifilm FinePix S9500 features 9MP and a 1.8 inch LCD Display.
Quote from the LetsGoDigital Editor:
"Fujifilm introduced the FinePix S9500 on the digital camera market at a time when no other manufacturer is able to introduce a comparable high resolution digital camera like the S9500. We can easily say that every manufacturer of 8 Megapixel cameras has encountered some trouble with high ISO recordings and noise. Almost every 400 ISO image, and sometimes a 200 ISO photo is effected with noise. Our first experiences with the Fujifilm FinePix S9500 are 800 ISO images that are pretty noise-free! Blowing up a 400 ISO photo to a large format print is absolutely no problem at all. Pretty amazing..."

FujiFilm FinePix Z1 Review
|
LetsGoDigital reviews the new FujiFilm FinePix Z1. The FujiFilm Z1 5MP slim digital camera is on sale on Amazon.com for $399.95, but the Z1 does not ship until July 25th.
Quote: " At this moment we have come to the conclusion that the Fujifilm FinePix Z1 is recommendable. Unless the final production model differs a lot from the pre-production model we've got here, but that seems not very likely to me. The Fujifilm Z1, with the built-in 5th generation Super CCD HR technique and the application of the Real Photo technology distinguishes this new Fujifilm sibling from the other competitors. New Fujifilm Z1 Slim 5MP Camera
The first announcements of digital camera makers for the upcoming PMA 2005 trade show are coming in. Camborg reports about the new Fujifilm Z1 elegant and slim 5MP digital camera.
The Fujifilm Finepix Z1 5MP digital camera goes straight against the successful Sony DSC-T1/T3 thin digital cameras. The Fujifilm Z1 is 18.6mm thick. The Sony DSC-T3 is slimmer though with 17.3mm. Fujifilm highlights a new low light technology to get better photos in low light situations. Called Real Photo Technology, the camera's 5th generation Super CCD HR sensor is linked with a new, advanced RP Processor. The results are pictures taken at ISO settings as high as 800 (in full resolution) with reduced noise and extra sharpness.
More details and specification on Camborg.
Our I4U Correspondent Jack Olmstead will be at the PMA 2005 show to provide live coverage on I4U. The PMA 2005 show starts at February 20th in Orlando.
