PNY XLR8 8800 GTS 320MB Graphics Card Review

Topic:

PNY XLR8 8800 GTS 320MB Graphics Card Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review PNY has one of the lowest cost NVIDIA 8800 GTS 320MB graphics cards on the market. It carries stock clocks on the core, memory and shaders and therefore gives up performance to the factory overclocked offerings around.

However, you could overclock the PNY card yourself and save some cash. If you are running anything other than an 8800 series graphics card in your computer the PNY 8800 GTS 320MB graphics card is a major upgrade, even from the 7950 GX2 or 7900 GTX that were hot a few months ago. Read more

Topic:

BFG 8800 GTS OC 320MB Graphics Card Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Today we are also looking at another NVIDIA 8800 GTS 320MB graphics card from a different card partner than XFX. Up for review here is the BFG 8800 GTS OC 320MB graphics card. BFG doesn’t clock their card as highly as XFX does their XXX edition.

However, performance wise in real world applications the BFG card and the XFX card run neck and neck. BFG has a very nice product on their hands here that will help bring DirectX 10 capabilities to gamers that can’t afford the higher end 8800 GTS 640MB or the 8800 GTX. Read more

XFX NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS Graphics Card Review

Topic:

XFX NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS Graphics Card Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review The second graphics card that NVIDIA and XFX are launching today is the GeForce 8800 GTS. The 8800 GTS and the 8800 GTX share the same features and what separates the two is performance.

The 8800 GTS gives up quite a bit of performance to the faster 8800 GTX, yet the 8800 GTS is still faster than any other graphics card on the market save the GTX and is even faster than many SLI or CrossFire dual card solutions as well. Nvidia SLI GPU-teaming with GeForce 6600 GTs Review

Topic:

Nvidia SLI GPU-teaming with GeForce 6600 GTs Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review The Techreport takes a look at SLI GPU-teaming with low-cost cards.

Quote:
"THE BIGGEST PROMISE of NVIDIA's new SLI GPU-teaming capability may be the ability to upgrade on an installment plan. By building an SLI-capable system with a single graphics card now, users give themselves the option of adding a second card later for nearly two times the rendering power. For most of us, the most realistic and affordable means of building such a system is NVIDIA's GeForce 6600 GT GPU. At around $200, the 6600 GT seems ideal for SLI.

But does a multi-GPU solution with $200 cards make sense in the age of killer $400 cards and eBay? Tough question. In order to answer it, we've tested a pair of Asus's sweet GeForce 6600 GT cards in SLI, and we've compared them to thirteen different competitors, ranging from a single GeForce 6600 GT to ATI's impressive new Radeon X800 XL. Keep reading to see what we found. "
