Alienware Introduces M17x Gaming Notebook
Alienware unveiled its most powerful gaming laptop ever this week called the Area-51 m17x. The notebook uses Intel Core 2 Extreme processors and NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX graphics in SLI mode. The machine also has a 500GB HDD and can be optioned with up to 1.5TB of storage.
The notebook can be optioned with an integrated HDTV tuner built-in and has multiple graphics and CPU options available. The built-in sound system includes two speakers and a subwoofer. The battery is a 12-cell lithium ion. Screen size for the machine is 17-inch and the screen resolution is 1920 x 1200. The M17x starts at $2199 with a fully optioned rig going for over $6000. Gateway P172X FX 17-inch Gaming Notebook Review
Today we are looking at the Gateway P172X FX gaming notebook. This machine retails for $1,999 and gets graphics in the form of NVIDIA 8800M GTS.

MSI Launches GX600 Turbobook Gaming Notebook
MSI is launching what they call the world’s first Turbobook known ad the GX600. The GX600 uses MSI exclusive Turbo Drive Engine Technology. When running in AC mode a button press will increase the speed of your CPU and system by 20%. It seems that basically the system has overclock profiles onboard and when you click the button they are loaded.
MSI says that the speaker aperture was designed to look like a race cars air intake. Flame graphics adorn the outside of the notebook for some visual flare. The display is a 15.4” LCD and graphics are via NVIDIA 8600M GT with 512MB of VRAM and is DirectX 10 compliant. Read more

Asus Launches the G1 & G2 Gaming Notebooks
Asus is probably best know in the enthusiast community as the manufacturer of some of the highest performance Mainboards for PCs on the planet. While we do not see them too much in these parts, Asus also makes a line of notebook PCs as well.

DELL XPS M1710 Gaming Notebook Reviews
Dell just released a new gaming notebook and several sites already have published review of the XPS M1710.
There is a black model, available worldwide which starts at $2,600 and features a 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo T2400 processor, 256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS graphics card, 1GB RAM and a 60GB HDD.
The United States exclusive Special Edition Red Formula model is priced at $3,400 and features a 2GHz Intel Core Duo T2500 processor, 512MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX graphics card, 1GB RAM and an 80GB HDD.
PC Magazine is taken by the red color and how fast the system is. They say the M1710 performance is blazing, but demands plenty of juice, and its short (2.5 hours) battery life reflects that reality.
CNET says "hard-core gamer looking to play the newest games at the highest settings, this is the best system that (a lot of) money can buy".
