MSI Launches GX600 Turbobook Gaming Notebook

MSI is launching what they call the world’s first Turbobook known ad the GX600. The GX600 uses MSI exclusive Turbo Drive Engine Technology. When running in AC mode a button press will increase the speed of your CPU and system by 20%. It seems that basically the system has overclock profiles onboard and when you click the button they are loaded.

MSI says that the speaker aperture was designed to look like a race cars air intake. Flame graphics adorn the outside of the notebook for some visual flare. The display is a 15.4” LCD and graphics are via NVIDIA 8600M GT with 512MB of VRAM and is DirectX 10 compliant. Read more

DELL XPS M1710 Gaming Notebook Reviews

DELL XPS M1710 Gaming Notebook Reviews Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Dell just released a new gaming notebook and several sites already have published review of the XPS M1710.

There is a black model, available worldwide which starts at $2,600 and features a 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo T2400 processor, 256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS graphics card, 1GB RAM and a 60GB HDD.

The United States exclusive Special Edition Red Formula model is priced at $3,400 and features a 2GHz Intel Core Duo T2500 processor, 512MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX graphics card, 1GB RAM and an 80GB HDD.

PC Magazine is taken by the red color and how fast the system is. They say the M1710 performance is blazing, but demands plenty of juice, and its short (2.5 hours) battery life reflects that reality.
