Walmart.com has the hot selling Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS unit on sale this weekend for under $300.
The Garmin nuvi 350 also still leads the GPS bestseller list on Amazon.com.
The features of the Garmin Nuvi 350 include QVGA resolution screen, 700MB internal memory, mp3 player, audible book player, and SD memory expansion slot. The Nuvi 350 provides automatic routing, turn-by-turn voice directions, a world travel clock, a currency converter, and more. Garmin introduced this device in 2005.

Garmin Nuvi 350 from 2005 is topselling GPS Device
GPS devices are supposed to be one of the hottest Christmas gifts this Holiday season. And why not, prices came down dramatically and those things are just so damn useful. I could not drive around without one anymore.
Interestingly a GPS device from 2005 leads the sales charts on Amazon.com. The Garmin nuvi 350 was introduced in 2005. The low price is sure one of the reasons for making the Garmin nuvi 350 a top seller.

TomTom and Garmin settle Patent Dispute
Garmin Ltd. announces today a confidential global settlement of all of its intellectual property litigation with TomTom.
The settlement resolves all of the pending intellectual property litigation including cases in the UK, Netherlands, Wisconsin, and Texas. The parties did not disclose details of their agreement.

Garmin to Offer MAD MAPS to nuvi and zumo Users
Garmin nuvi and zumo GPS users can now take the road less traveled, and more interesting with the GPS devices thanks to a Garmin partnership with MAD MAPS. "The routes developed by MAD MAPS are proof that the best way to get somewhere isn't always the fastest way," said Dan Bartel, Garmin's vice president of worldwide sales. "By adding these detailed road trips to Garmin's extensive database of more than six million points of interest, we're able to make every drive an enjoyable ride to remember."

Palm Announces GPS Navigator with Garmin Software
Palm announced yesterday that in late November it will be bringing a new GPS product called the Palm GPS Navigator featuring Garmin Mobile XT software. This product will retail for $249.
Palm expects the product to attract new users to the mobile phone GPS market. The new device coupled with the Garmin software provides drivers with turn-by-turn directions that are voice prompted and provides millions of points of interest, updated fuel prices, traffic, hotel prices, and weather forecasts. Garmin Edge 705 and Edge 605 GPS Systems for Cyclists
Garmin has introduced a pair of new GPS systems for bicyclists that have all sorts of functions in addition to the GPS routing that will be welcome on long rides. Both the Edge 705 and Edge 605 GPS systems offer mapping capabilities and street navigation.
Both units have a 2.2” color display and track vertical profiles, climb, descent, altitude, speed, distance and time. The Edge 705 adds several notable features to the mix the 605 doesn’t offer. Read more

Garmin Forerunner 50 Sports Watch Announced
Garmin announced a new sports watch today called the Forerunner 50. the Forerunner 50 is the only sports watch with automatic wireless sync that helps runners and walkers track their workouts.
The watch stores data to help wearers reach their personal fitness goals and interfaces wirelessly with other components of the system like a heart rate monitor or a foot pod monitor that records speed and distance. Read more

Garmin Announces nuvi 260 Entry Level Navigator
Garmin introduced today a new entry-level navigation device called the nuvi 260. The 260 automatically calls out street names by saying “Turn left on main street” rather than simply saying turn right like some navigation systems.
"Many potential PND customers want an entry-level Garmin PND, and many realize the convenience and utility of a device that speaks an upcoming street name. Garmin Intorduces a Pair of New GPS Systems
Today Garmin announced a pair of new GPs systems the nuvi 200W and the nuvi 250W (pictured). Both units have bright 4.3” color touch screen displays with 480 x 272 pixels. The units incorporate a high-sensitivity internal GPS antenna making it thinner.
Both nuvi units feature built-in image viewers, calculator, currency converters, unit converter and world clock. The internal database of the units has nearly 6million points of interest like restaurants, hotels, attractions, gas stations, and more. Read more

New Garmin Forerunner 305 available for Pre-Order
Garmin announced the Forerunner 305 GPS sports watch at the CES 2006.
Amazon.com sells the Garmin Forerunner 305 for $349.99. It will ship February 13th.
The new Forerunner features a new GPS antenna design and a more sensitive GPS receiver to provide better tracking.
Besides all kinds of lap tracking features the Garmin Forerunner 305 also features a heart-rate monitor. New in this Forerunner generation are customizable screens and also the multi-sport feature, that lets athletes track their training across different activities. Via USB the GPS tracking data is transferred to a PC where it can be evaluated with the bundled software.

Garmin nüvi GPS 350 available for Pre-Order
The Garmin nüvi portable GPS navigation device is coming to the United States very soon reports Gearlog.
We reported about the Garmin nuvi, when it was released in Europe. Craig Ellison is reviewing apparently a Garmin nuvi pre-loaded with US maps right now for PCMag.
I checked on Amazon.com and they already have the US Garmin Nuvi 350 available for pre-order at $899.99. No shipping date available yet.

Garmin nüvi GPS Personal Travel Assistant
Garmin seems to have acted fast enough to fend off the small slick Korean multi-functional handheld GPS navigation units that have been popping up lately.
The Garmin nüvi (yes their is an ü) is supporting Language translation guides and travel guides along with navigation. Other features are Picture Viewer for displaying digital photos, a World Travel Clock, Currency and Measurement Converter, and Calculator.
The Garmin nüvi is not bigger than a deck of playing cards and features a 3.5 inch screen.

CES 2005: Garmin Street Pilot c330 goes against TomTom ToGo
Garmin shows the Street Pilot c330 that competes directly with the TomTom ToGo GPS Gadget. Apparently Garmin already had the Street Pilot in the works, when TomTom stole their thunder and released the ToGo before them.
The StreetPilot "c-series" GPS navigators feature a simple touchscreen interface, with automatic route calculation to any destination and turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions along the way. Selecting a destination is straightforward and requires only a limited amount of input from the user. Plus, the StreetPilot c320 and StreetPilot c330 allow you to choose between a three-dimensional navigation view or the more traditional “bird’s eye” overhead view.
The centerpiece of both units is a bright, 3.5-inch diagonal, 16-bit color display.
Available in March 2005 at an MSRP of $964.20.
