Gateway Introduces New Desktop PCs

Gateway Introduces New Desktop PCs Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Gateway announced several new desktop computers this week, some of them have factory overclocked processors and one offers Windows XP. Gateway says that it has increased the performance of its value FX desktop the FX7026. The machine has an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300, overclocked NVIDIA 8800 GT graphics and 4GB of RAM along with 640GB of storage.

Gateway also introduced several new models in its GT series including the GT5670, GT5674, GT5676, and the GT5678. Prices for these systems range from $549.99 to $849.99. The machines use AMD Phenom quad or triple-core processors. The FX7026 will retail starting at $1099. Read more

Gateway Introduces GM5664 and GT5662 Computers Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Gateway announced new desktop systems today that feature a hybrid Blu-ray and HD DVD super multi drive. The systems available with the drive are the GM5664 and the GT5662. "Gateway's new retail line up marries high-performance with affordability," said Glenn Jystad, Gateway's senior manager of consumer desktops. "These new systems offer just about everything one could ask for in a powerful PC, delivering a great combination of features that are sure to please."

Both machines are powered by the new AMD Phenom processor with the GM5664 getting a Phenom 9600 and the GT5662 getting a Phenom 9500. Graphics for the machines are via ATI Radeon HD 2400XT. The GM5664 gets a 1TB hard drive while the GT5662 gets 500GB of storage. Read more

The Gateway M-Series 15.1-inch notebooks and the Gateway T-Series 14.2-inch notebooks are now available in new colors and new designs.

The M-Series was previously available in Garnet Red and Pacific Blue Gateway adds two new colors to the line with Merlot and Silver. The M-series and the T-Series will also now have a new design available called Arctic Bloom, which is wildflowers on a background of icy turquoise blue. Read more

The final new product announced by Gateway today is the GT5628 desktop PC. This computer uses an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU and runs on the Intel G33 chipset. Graphics are via NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT with 256Mb of RAM.

3024MB of DDR2 RAM are included and storage is to a 500GB HDD. A 15-in-1 card reader is included and the optical drive is an 18x DVD+R/RW dual layer drive. Read more

We already talked about one Gateway notebook announced today. Gateway announced the P-6822 Notebook as well. The P-6822 notebook uses Intel Centrino Duo Mobile technology and has a 17-inch widescreen WXGA+ TFT LCD with a 1440 x 900 resolution.

1GB of DDR2 667MHz ram is onboard and shared with the Intel GMA X3100 graphics. Storage is to a 250GB 5400RPM SATA drive and the optical drive is an 8x multi-format burner that uses Lableflash technology. Read more

Gateway announced new products today and the first is a new notebook PC called the Gateway P-6301 Notebook PC. The system has an Intel Pentium Dual Core T2310 processor, a 17-inch 1440 x 900 LCD and uses the Intel GL960 chipset.

Other features of the notebook include 1GB of DDR2 RAM, Intel Graphics Media accelerator X3100, and a 160GB hard drive. The optical drive is an 8x multi-format dual layer DVD burner with Lableflash technology. Read more

Gateway Releases XHD3000 30-inch HD LCD Display

Gateway Releases XHD3000 30-inch HD LCD Display Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Gateway announced a new 30-inch PC display today called the XHD3000 that delivers what Gateway is calling 1600p resolution. Gateway says that 1600p upconverting is available and the display has high-fidelity sound and connects to virtually any computer or video device.

The XHD3000 delivers four times higher resolution that 720p HDTVs can. The native resolution of the XHD3000 is 2560 x 1600, which is the same resolution as every other 30-inch LCD display on the market. Gateway uses the Silicon Optix Realta HQV video processor and is capable of upscaling full 1080p content to 1600p. Read more
