T-Mobile wins against Vodafone in iPhone Case in Germany
T-Mobile can continue to sell locked Apple iPhones in Germany. The court order by Vodafone was dismissed by a German court.
T-Mobile had to offer unlocked iPhones while the case was in court. The judge ruled that there has not been any unfair competition through the locked sale of the Apple iPhone by T-Mobile.

iPhone Court Battle in Germany heats up
As reported Vodafone reached a court order against T-Mobile to sell the iPhone locked in Germany ten days ago.
Since then T-Mobile also began offering an unlocked iPhone for 999 Euro.
Yesterday was the first day in court. The battle heated up as the court increase the amount involved in the case from 500,000 Euro to 2 Mio. Euro (~$2.9 Million).

Vodafone throws Court Order against T-Mobile iPhone in Germany
Vodafone decided to rescue us from the iPhone 2 year contract commitment with a court order against T-Mobile in Germany - hurray!
Vodafone thinks that the locked iPhone sales and two year contract terms might not be legal in Germany and wants the courts to decide.

T-Mobile sells 10,000 iPhones in Germany on first Day
The Apple iPhone launched in Europe yesterday and T-Mobile the exclusive iPhone partner in Germany reports that they have already sold 10,000 iPhones on the first day.
This is a good result, but the iPhone hype in Europe is not nearly as big as it was in the U.S. at launch last summer. It will have to be seen if sales continue for T-Mobile as the 2 year plans you have to choose for the iPhone are rather expensive starting at 49 Euro (~$70).

Asus Eee PC available in Germany in December for 299 Euro
Asus announced according to Heise (German) today the launch date for the Asus Eee PC in Germany. German fans of the low-cost Linux notebook still have to wait until December and fork over 299 Euro for the Asus Eee 4G.
With this late launch date it is very unlikely that the Asus Eee 8G is still coming in 2007 in Germany.

iPhone to launch with T-Mobile in Germany on November 9th
Today Steve Jobs and T-Mobile announced the launch of the Apple iPhone in Germany.
The Apple iPhone will launch on November 9th, which is the same launch date as in the UK. Germany also just gets the 8GB iPhone. The price will be 399 Euro (~$557).
T-Mobile promises to have EDGE available nation-wide by the end of 2007. T-Mobile would be the only carrier in Germany offering that.

MFD and Neva Media Joint Venture to make DVB-H new German Mobile TV Standard
In May last year MFD started to offer DMB based mobile TV in Germany. Today MFD and Neva Media announced to form a joint venture to provide DVB-H based mobile TV in Germany in 2008.
The large media companies Hubert Burda Media und Holtzbrinck are behind NEVA Media.
The new company wants to offer DVB-H based mobile TV in time for the European Soccer World Cup that will take place in Austria and Switzerland.
