Gigabyte EP45 Extreme first Look
TweakTown was given the opportunity to be the first publication in the world to see and photograph Gigabyte’s upcoming motherboard targeting extreme overclockers, the EP45 Extreme.
Quote: "This board will be quite different to the rest of Gigabyte’s P45 based motherboard and the board we were shown was the first board off the production line and as such, is a very early sample. The most obvious feature of this motherboard is the humongous heatsink sitting above the first PCI slot. This is based on a similar construction idea to Gigabyte’s passive Silent-Pipe 3 and works the natural convection method and draws hot air out of the case without any noise.

Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L Motherboard Review
TheTechLounge published a review of the Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L Motherboard.
Quote from the review: "Gigabyte is a solid company. They're at the top of my list, it would seem, so picking a current-generation entry-level motherboard without integrated graphics narrows things down to about half a dozen options, with the GA-P31-DS3L at the front. But is that really enough to base a decision on? Well, if you're reading this, then Jesus, of course not.

GIGABYTE X48T-DQ6 DDR3 Motherboard Review
Tweaktown published a review of the GIGABYTE X48T-DQ6 DDR3 Motherboard.
Quote from the review: "X38/X48 chipsets are the first chipsets to come out with true split PCI Express architecture. This time they are both running a 16/16 configuration. Added to this is the fact they are running PCI-E 2.0 specs as well as being XMP memory module ready; we now have a good overall platform. X48 adds to the already impressive array of features the X38 has along with much better overclocking support and official support for the 1600MHz FSB.

Gigabyte GeForce 9800 GX2 Review
Benchmark Reviews tested the new Gigabyte GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card and published a review.
Quote from the review: "It seems like it was just yesterday that I bought my first discrete graphics card to outfit an overclocked Cyrix M2-300 6x86MX-based computer. Back in those Windows 98 (first edition) days of 1998 the term GeForce wasn't even in existence yet, and NVIDIA was called referred to as nVidia. So when I bought my first computer late that year, I would have never thought Quake II played on my RIVA TNT2 AGP video card would mark the last time I would spend money in an arcade. This was nearly ten years ago and since that time NVIDIA has developed several successful GeForce product lines, including the newly launched 9th generation.

Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H AMD Motherboard Review
The Techlounge published a review of the Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H AMD Motherboard.
Quote from the review: "AMD's 690 chipset doesn't stop turning heads. The way it was introduced, as a low-priced alternative to Intel, with budget trim and no enthusiast options, belittled its raucous performance. It looked like a stopgap, especially since AMD had little to do with its design and released it as a last foray before the new AMD could re-group. It's not likely that even ATI expected the chipset to be the thin edge of the wedge. 690's ripples keep on growing. As it turns out, people seem to like motherboards with complete multimedia support, great onboard graphics, insignificant power envelopes, unparalleled performance, and low prices. Gigabyte's GA-MA69GM-S2H is the best example of a 690G motherboard to-date.

GIGABYTE also has a digital only version, the U7000, which is a physically smaller model. Both models are based on a Dibcom chipset and if this doesn’t say anything to you, then what you should know is that this is one of the best DVB-T chipsets on the market for PC applications.

Rainbow Technology Stores Hundreds of Gigabytes on an A4 Size Page of Paper
Paper may be making a comeback into the office environment after loosing ground to the paperless electronic office. How you ask? A student from Kerala in India (south-west coast) has developed a method of storing data on plain sheets of A4 sized paper.
Before anyone starts making jokes, I’m not talking about handwriting. The data is placed onto the paper in high-density geometric shapes. The technology is called Rainbow Versatile Disc or RVD and can store a whopping 90 to 450GB of data and can even playback video clips in addition to storing written data. Read more
