New Archos Gmini 500 Appears
Archos published a product page for a new Archos Gmini 500 on their site.
The Archos Gmini 500 PMP has the looks of the new Archos AV500 portable media player and DVR. I did not like the design of the Gmini line. So the new design is a plus. The Gmini 500 comes in 20GB and 40GB configurations and has a 4 inch screen.
Compared to the AV500 it misses the DVR functionality. The new Gmini measures 76 x 124 x 24 mm and weighs 315g.

Archos Gmini 402 Officially Announced
Archos officially announces their new compact 20GB media player Gmini 402.
The Archos Gmini 402 features a 2.2 inch color LCD screen and a sleek metallic casing measuring 4.17" x 2.37" x 0.69” and is 5.64 ounces and weighing 5.64 oucnes.
Archos made the Gmini 402 Microsoft PlaysForSure compatible and enabled autosync with Windows Media Player 10.
Besides music the Gmini 402 plays DviX, MP4 and WMA video.
Archos sells the Gmini 402 $329.95 in the United States.

Rumor of New Archos Players: Gmini 402 and AV500
Rumors of new Archos players appeared in France.
The Archos Gmini 402 will follow the Gmini 400 and feature USB OTG and is supposed to come in 20 and 40GB storage configurations. It is also supposed to have a integrated video camera.
The Archos AV500 is supposed to have a 4" screen and should come in 40 and 100GB configurations.

New Archos Gmini XS 202 20GB MP3 Player Appears
Archos already was in the news with a couple of new players (AV700 and XS 100) recently. Now French GenerationMP3 has a flyer of the Archos XS 202 20GB MP3 player - the follow-up model to the Archos Gmini XS 200. No other details are known so far.

Archos officially launches Gmini XS 100 3GB MP3 Player
Archos sent us their official press-release of their new small 3GB music player Gmini XS 100.
First rumors of the Archos Gmini XS 100 appeared a couple of weeks ago. The XS 100 is the smallest player in the Archos line-up of portable audio and video products, measuring 3.6” x 1.7” x 0.5”, and weighing only 2.8 ounces. The Gmini XS 100 features a 1.5” gray-scale LCD screen, USB 2.0, 14 hour batter life and is certified under the Microsoft PlaysForSure program. The Gmini XS 100 comes in Black, Pink, Blue or Silver casing.
The Archos Gmini XS 100 will be available at retail and online beginning in June, 2005, and is priced at $179.95. The new Archos player is positioned as entry-level music player for young consumers.

Information and a photo of a new small Archos Gmini XS 100 music player appeared.
Archos launched the Gmini XS200, which has a 20GB hard-drive last October. The new Gmini XS100 is said to have a 3GB hard-drive. it comes in 3 colors and the price should be around $200. Tiny 20GB MP3 Player: Archos Gmini XS200 officially announced
The Gmini XS200 is an extremely small 20GB hard-drive MP3 Player measuring only 2.9" x 2.3" x 0.7" and weighs 120 grams. Compare that to the iPod mini, which measures 3.6"x2.0"x0.5". We reported about the XS200 the first time back in September.
It features USB 2.0, MP3 and WMA playback, 128x128px LCD screen and a 10hour battery life. The price in Europe will be 299.99 Euros.

New Archos Gmini XS200 20GB Music Player surfaced
Apprently Archos is about to add another player to its Gmini line after the introduction of the Gmini 400. The New music player is called Gmini XS200.
The Archos Gmini XS200 plays MP3, WMA, and WAV music files. Note that this is a pur music player in contrast to the Gmini 400.
The new archos Gmini features 20GB and measures only 76.5x59x19.5mm. Compared to the iPod mini which measures 91.44x50.8x12.7mm the new Archos Gmini XS200 is pretty small for a 20GB MP3 Player. The Gmini XS weighs 120g.
The Battery life is 10 hours.
The Gmini XS200 will come available early October. Suggested retail price for the United States will be $249.

PVP4U reported 2 weeks ago about the new Archos Gmini 400 leaked information, now Archos provides full details about the Gmini 400 on their site.
The 20GB Gmini 400 has a 2,2" LCD screen with 220x176 pixels displaying 262k colors. The Gmini supports MP3, WAV and WMA file formats. The new Archos comes with USB 2.0 and Compact Flash Card interface. It measures 106 x 60,3 x 17 mm and weighs 160g. It features a TV-Out connector for viewing Video on TVs.
The little portable media player also features Mophun™ game engine.

New Archos Gmini 220 small 20GB HD MP3 Player
Archos announced officially today the Archos Gmini 220 and the Gmini 120. We reported about the Archos Gmini 120 already 2 weeks ago.
Archos says the GMINI 220, the industry's smallest 20-gigabyte MP3 player, will be available in November. Well we do not think so. There are no measurements available to us, but from the available photos, we doubt that it will beat the Toshiba GigaBeat with 89.5mmx 76.5mm x 12.7mm!.
The differences in the GMINI 220 and 120 devices are in the form factor and screen size, where the GMINI 220 is the smaller and has a 2.5 inch LCD screen. The GMINI 220 screen is grayscale with a blue backlight for easy viewing of photos and icons.
Both players offer MP3 and WMA recording and playback, an icon-based interface, and advanced music management capabilities through the Archos ARCLibrary and Musicmatch Jukebox Plus. The new ARCLibrary lets users delete, rename, copy and move files, and create folders directly on the GMINI Series, without using a PC.

Next week, Archos, the French based pioneer in state-of-the-art hard drive-based MP3 and handheld video players, will release the Gmini 120 (MSRP: $249) hard drive MP3/WMA/WAV player through CompUSA and Circuit City retail outlets nationwide. Much like the MadPlayer, the Gmini series firmware can be upgraded through the web.
Consumers can purchase the basic unit and add the functions they want to create a totally personal player. The Gmini 120 player/recorder comes with a 20GB hard drive and can be upgraded to include:
