PNY XLR8 8800 GTS 512MB Graphics Card Review
Today we are looking at the PNY 8800 GTS 512MB video card. This card runs stock NVIDIA reference clock speeds unlike the previous 8800 GTS 512MB XXX we looked at from XFX.
The PNY card performs well though it has no bundled games. The 8800 GTS 512MB card has more shader units than the old 640MB 8800 GTS giving it more performance. Read more

Today we are looking at the PowerColor HD 3850 Xtreme graphics card. This card is factory overclocked for more performance. PowerColor says this card is aimed at the NVIDIA 8600 GTS, which it outperforms handily.

XFX 8800 GT XXX Graphics Card Review
Today we are looking at the XFX 8800 GT XXX graphics card. The 8800 GT XXX has features similar to the PNY 8800 GT we looked at before.
The main difference between the XFX 8800 GT XXX and the PNY XLR8 8800 GT is that the XFX card is overclocked right out of the box. XFX also includes a full copy of Company of Heroes DX10 for PC with the card. Read more

Foxconn 8600 GT Overclocked Graphics Card Review
Today we are testing out the Foxconn 8600 GT overclocked graphics card. This card carries a very good price of $142 and brings performance that is a virtual dead heat with the XFX 8600 GT XXX.
The 8600 GT overclocked from Foxconn isn’t HDCP compliant so it won’t work for Blu-ray or HD DVD playback, but it is a very good, low cost DirectX 10 graphics card for gamers shopping in the sub $150 price range. Read more

ATI HD 2900 XT Graphics Card Review
Today we are looking at the top-of-the-line graphics card from ATI, the ATI HD 2900 XT. This card is nice and has some great features, but is down on performance when compared to similarly price offerings from NVIDIA.
If you are an ardent ATI fan or want a card that can output both video and audio via HDMI the ATI HD 2900 XT is the only game in town. If you want sheer performance, big green ahs ATI beat this round. Read more

ASUS 8800GTX 768MB Graphics Card Review
The Techlounge published a review of the Asus 8800 GTX 768MB graphics card.
Quote from the Graphics Card review:
"The 8800 GTX, after many months on the market, is still the best of the best. Sure, there's one card for competition: the 8800 Ultra; but that's sort of a joke; it's basically a stock-overclocked GTX, with a $150 premium. (The joke is really on the buyer.) ATI has given NVIDIA no reason to worry, since their HD 2000-series doesn't have a card like it.

ATI Ships HD 2400 and HD 2600 Graphics Cards
AMD is now shipping ATI Radeon 2400 and 2600 video cards to board customers. Both these graphics cards are DirectX 10 compliant and are designed for Windows Vista. Also featured on both the 2400 and 2600 is AMD’s Unified Video Decoder, which is a hardware feature, designed to offload video decoding from the CPU to the GPU, just like NVIDIA’s PureVideo HD.
Both the ATI HD 2400 and HD 2600 video cards are designed for entry level to mid range systems where the UVD technology is beneficial due to slower processor speeds. In higher-end systems with more powerful processors where the ATI HD 2900 will be used, UVD is not included. Read more

EVGA 8800 Ultra Black Pearl Graphics Card
EVGA has pimped out the new NVIDIA 8800 Ultra and called it the Black Pearl. EVGA put out a Black Pearl Edition of the 8800 GTX last year as well. The new 8800 Ultra Black Pearl is a liquid cooled and overclocked graphics card.
The Black Pearl can be used with either 1/2 inch or 3/8 inch water cooling systems and is 100% tested for reliability and performance before the card is shipped. EVGA claims that the liquid cooled Black Pearl runs up to 30c cooler than normal 8800 Ultra graphics cards. Read more

PNY 8800 GTX Overclocked Graphics Card Review
PNY has been selling NVIDIA graphics cards for a long time and are not typically known for making overclocked cards. They are out to change that notion with the release of their first overclocked graphics card, the PNY XLR8 8800 GTX Overclocked graphics card.
This card is a very good performer and places PNY in the same playing field as XFX, BFG, and EVGA. If you have traditionally thought of PNY as the maker of cards that don’t perform well it’s time to change your notions. Read more

BFG 8600 GTS Graphics Card Review
Today we are looking at another NVIDIA 8600 GTS graphics card, this time from BFG. The BFG 8600 GTS OC is overclocked right out of the box like the 8600 GTS from XFX we looked at earlier in the week.
Right now you can get some pretty good deals on the BFG 8600 GTS OC online which make it one of he best performing 8600 GTS graphics cards for the price you will find. BFG made the 8600 GTS HDCP capable as well so you can sue the BFG 8600 GTS OC for playing back HD video like Blu-ray and HD DVD. Read more

EVGA 8600 GT Superclocked Graphics Card Review
Rounding out the new graphics card reviews today is the EVGA 8600 GT Superclocked. Superclocked is what EVGA calls their line of overclocked graphics cards and the 8600 GT superclocked performs well.
The EVGA 8600 GT Superclocked carries a sub $200 price tag and full DirectX 10 compliance for gaming today and tomorrow. EVGA also warrants their card for life so you can buy with less worry. Read more

PNY Verto 8600 GTS Graphics Card Review
Today we are also having a look at the PNY 8600 GTS. Unlike the other three cards we are testing here today the PNY Verto 8600 GTS is not overclocked. PNY uses the standard NVIDIA reference clocks for their 8600 GTS.
This makes the PNY card a bit cheaper than the other 8600 GTS cards on the market but it does give up performance to the other cards in the class. If you are on a tight budget and you want an 8600 GTS, the PNY card goes for about the same price as the overclocked 8600 GT cards. Read more

XFX GeForce 7600 GT Fatal1ty Graphics Card Review
Today’s graphics card review is stepping away from the higher end products in favor of a much more affordable graphics card called the XFX 7600 GT Fatal1ty. This is the hottest 7600 GT graphics card that XFX offers.
As fast as this overclocked graphics card is what is really impressive is the fact that XFX uses passive cooling only. That means that the 7600 GT Fatal1ty is dead silent and perfect for media center PCs that will see gaming action. Read more

PNY XLR8 8800 GTS 320MB Graphics Card Review
PNY has one of the lowest cost NVIDIA 8800 GTS 320MB graphics cards on the market. It carries stock clocks on the core, memory and shaders and therefore gives up performance to the factory overclocked offerings around.
However, you could overclock the PNY card yourself and save some cash. If you are running anything other than an 8800 series graphics card in your computer the PNY 8800 GTS 320MB graphics card is a major upgrade, even from the 7950 GX2 or 7900 GTX that were hot a few months ago. Read more

Foxconn FV-N88SMCD2-ONOC 8800 GTS 320MB Overclocked Graphics Card Review
Today we are looking at the Foxconn 8800 GTS 320MB Overclocked graphics card and putting it through its paces. While DirectX 10 isn’t out yet, the 8800 GTS 320MB is the best way to get DirectX 10 compliant with the lowest cost.
Don’t let the fact that no DirectX 10 games are around keep you from buying the 8800 GTS 320MB graphics card. Foxconn has one of the best performers around when it comes to gaming with the current generation of titles.
