Quote from the review: "For me, Windows Mobile has always been primarily focused on data access, rather than data creation or modification. The Touch excels in this regard.

HTC Touch Diamond P3702 released
HTC released a new version of its HTC Touch Diamond in Taiwan dubbed HTC Touch Diamond P3702.
The HTC Touch Diamond P3702 features as far as I can see the same specifications as the Touch Diamond available in several markets today.
The P3702 has a more round case design. Supposedly the Taiwanese consumer is not into diamond edges. The images published on the Taiwanese carrier site are not clearly showing the backside of the phone, so it is hard to tell how the Touch Diamond looks without diamonds.

2 million HTC Touch sold
Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer HTC sold 2 million HTC touch Windows smartphones (via Yahoo!). This is half of the number of iPhones Apple has sold so far.
HTC timed the release of the HTC touch to compete directly with the iPhone last Summer. Overall HTC sold 11.8 million handsets in 2007.
HTC announced that they would enter the UMPC market with the HTC Shift in March 2007. The release got pushed back quite a bit and it seems Asia will see the HTC Shift in February. I think it is too late for this device, unless HTC will offer it under $500, if not Linux powered UMPCs will eat its lunch.

HTC Touch Review
Tweaktown published a review of the HTC Touch Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone. Unlocked HTC Touch smartphones are selling on Amazon.com for $499.
Quote from the review: "It has been seen around the world as an iPhone pretender, but quite frankly I don’t think that’s the case at all. The HTC Touch most likely began as a concept around about the time Sony Ericsson launched their P910i Smartphone with a similar touch screen interface way back in 2005.
