A Hello Kitty robot for baby sitting is available for pre-order at a not so affordable $6,299.99.
NEC and Futaba Industrial Co., Ltd started to work on the Hello Kitty Robo back in 2004.
The Hello Kitty Robo features face recognition via stereo CMOS cameras, voice recognition, ultrasonic sensor, lift-up sensor and AV connector.

It seems that every other gadget I see lately has Hello Kitty on it, and now we get this iPod dock/clock in the familiar pink kitty color. If you have been holding out for a cutesy dock for your iPod or other player this may be what you have been looking for.

Tomy Hello Kitty Nohohon
Hello Kitty is also now available as a Tomy solar powered Nohohon gadget.
As with all Tomy Nohohon toys, the Hello Kitty one also shakes its head slowly powered buy solar energy. I still did not figure out what the difference is between Hidamari no Tami and Nohohon. It seems this Tomy toy series goes by both names.

Latest Actroid Female Robot Looks Cuter and Wears Hello Kitty
Japanese animatronics company Kokoro updated its Actroid female robot. I first did not get why the Actroid wears a Hello Kitty T-Shirt, until I saw that Kokoro now belongs to the Sanrio Group, who is responsible for the Hello Kitty stuff polluting the world.
If you compare the face of the orginal Actroid from 2003 with the current one, you can see that she got much more attractive looking. She looks younger and happier too.
The new Actroid version DER2 can apparently deliver more facial expressions. The female robot can still not walk around, but besides that she looks, speaks and behaves very life-like.

Hello Kitty USB PC Speakers
We did not report about Hello Kitty gadgets since a while. The appeal of the little kitten is not to fading; at least not in Asia. Hong Kong's gadget shop Brando is now offering Hello Kitty USB PC Speakers.
The Hello Kitty speakers measure 120x79x70mm. The volume control is on a little wired remote. The speakers are in the back of the kitty heads.
Brando sells these speakers for $48.00 internationally.

A Hello Kitty massager has been spotted in Japan. This continues the long line of gadgets branded with the cute little kitty.
We had seen mp3 players, camcorders and iPod holders, now it is a personal massager.
AkihabaraNews spotted it in Tokyo in the electronics heaven Akihabara.

NHJ offers new Hello Kitty MP3 Players

NHJ is at it again and releases more Sanrio Hello Kitty branded mp3 players. We reported about the Hello Kitty Camcorder just recently.
The NHJ VP-525D (photo above) features 256MB and has a SD Card slot. It plays MP3 and WMA. The Sanrio branded gadget measures 48x58x20mm and weighs 35g. More details on NHJ product page (Japanese). We reported about the NHJ VP-500D series already. The Hello Kitty NHJ VP-415 (photo below shows it with speaker docking station) only has 128MB, but it also features an SD Card slot. Hello Kitty, the most often licensed cat in the universe, turns another gadget into a pink, little girls dream device (see other Hello Kitty Gadgets below).
This time its the NHJ Che-ez! v:u2 Camcorder. The Che-ez! v:u2 is a 3.0MP MP4 camcorder. The digital camcorder can record video in 320 x 240 pixel (max. 20 frames/s) and 640 x 480 pixel (max. 12 frames/s) recording sizes. It has a 4x digital zoom and uses SD-Cards (max. 256MB). The preview screen is 1.4" in size. The v:u2 has a TV out to view video directly on TVs. NHJ states that the Hello Kitty camcorder comes soon. More details on the Che-ez! site. Hello Kitty MP3 Player
Hello Kitty is still a very strong brand world-wide. In Korea a small MP3 Player is available in the shape of a Hello Kitty head.
It looks nicely made, as the face features are buttons to control the MP3 Player. The Hello Kitty Music player weighs 24.5g and measures 55x44x17mm. It features 32-128MB storage. It looks like it is not sold outside of Asia, but I found one on eBay selling $94.99. There are tons of other Hello Kitty products including a Hello Kitty portable CD Player in the shape of a Hello Kitty head.
