IE8 available for Download now Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review As reported earlier Microsoft launched the final release of Internet Explorer 8 at 12 EST. I just grabbed the 16MB download for Windows XP a couple minutes ago and after two reboots I am writing this in the final release of IE8.

I had IE8 RC1 running before. The first impression is that final release of IE8 feels a bit more responsive even. Read more

Microsoft IE8 final Version not faster than Firefox and others Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Walt Mossberg published a review of the new Internet Explorer 8. Unlike us he already has the final version of IE8. Overall Mr. Mossberg likes the new Internet Explorer but finds it slower in rendering webpages in his tests compared to Firefox, Safari 4 and Chrome.
