JVC Blu-ray Home Theater Gets DivX Certification
DivX announced that JVC's first Blu-ray home theater system has received DivX certification. The JVC system is called the NX-BD3 and is the first entry into Blu-ray for JVC. The system allows for playback over wired and wireless home networks.
The certification will allow users to view DivX content on CDs or DVDs on the JVC system. DivX says that the products bearing its certified logo have been rigorously tested to ensure high-quality. Read more

JVC XA-M40, XA-M20 and XA-M10 DAPs revealed
JVC announces new portable audio players in Japan with the XA-M40, XA-M20 and XA-M10.
The new XA-M players differ only in memory configuration. The XA-M40 has 4GB, the XA-M20 2GB and the XA-M10 only features 1GB of storage.
The new JVC Victor branded players support MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM10, WAV audio formats and feature and FM tuner.

JVC Gumy Air Earbuds
JVC announced new ear buds today that are available in multiple colors called the JVC Gumy Air ear buds. The ear buds use a soft silicone rubber air cushion for the earpiece. The colors available are made to match the color range of the iPod Nano and shuffle.
The ear buds use an 11mm neodymium driver with high power and sensitivity. The cord is 1-meter long, friction noise reduction that has an iPhone compatible plug. The air cushion ear cushion changes shape offering the feel of custom ear buds. Read more

JVC iPod LCD TVs LT-32P679, LT-42P789, LT-47P789 and the 52-inch LT-52P789 ship
JVC announces four new LCD TVs with integrated iPod dock. JVC's new TeleDock, a flip-down iPod dock at the base of the set, providing the new JVC P-Series a direct connection for playback through the TV.
The new iPod LCD TVs include the 32-inch LT-32P679, 42-inch LT-42P789, 47-inch LT-47P789 and the 52-inch LT-52P789. The LT-32P679 is a 768p model, while the others offer 1080p resolution.

JVC LT-42X899, LT-47X899 and LT-52X899 LCD HDTVs ship
JVC today announced the availability of a new line of LCD televisions powered by a JVC-developed next-generation high definition engine, Clear Motion Drive III.
The new full HD TVs are part of JVC's recently launched Procision series, a product line that features the company's most advanced technologies.
The new JVC Procision 1080p HDTVs include the 42 inch LT-42X899, the 47 inch LT-47X899 and the 52 inch LT-52X899.

JVC NX-PN7 docks iPod and iPhone at the same Time
The new JVC NX-PN7 docking station offers two docks for your iPhone and iPod or for your wife's iPhone and your iPhone.
The JVC NX-PN7 accommodates two iPod players side-by side, charging them simultaneously and offering playback from each through the dock's speaker system.
Supplementing iPod playback is an AM/FM tuner, and adding to the unit's versatility is a clock and timer.
In addition, there's an analog audio input for connecting other devices for playback. What's more, a video output makes it a snap to play downloaded video content back on virtually any television.

New JVC Everio GZ-HD40, GZ-HD30 and GZ-HD10
JVC has added three new high definition camcorders to its HD Everio line with the GZ-HD40, GZ-HD30, and GZ-HD10.
The JVC Everio GZ-HD40 and GZ-HD30 are the world’s first AVCHD and MPEG-2 dual-format camcorders, allowing access to the long time compression enabled by AVCHD, as well as MPEG-2’s editing and post-production environment.
The GZ-HD40 and GZ-HD30 offer 1920 x 1080 Full HD recording in both formats to a 120GB (GZ-HD40) or 80GB (GZ-HD30) internal HDD.

JVC Introduces Everio Camcorder for YouTube and More
JVC added a new camcorder to its Everio S Series today called the GZ-MS100. The camcorder is designed to make the recording and uploading of videos to YouTube very simple. JVC says that despite the YouTube focus for the camcorder it offers a full fledged array of camcorder features.
The camera records to a SD card and weighs only 0.60 pounds. The camera includes CyberLink software for Windows computers and allows for uploading of video clips with one touch. The camera also has a one-touch button that limits recordings to 10 minutes perfectly sizing video clips for YouTube file size limitations. Read more

JVC Everio GZ-HD6 Review
The test lab at our review partner Digital Trends published a review of the JVC Everio GZ-HD6 digital camcorder. The reviewers gave the GZ-HD6 an Editor's Choice award.

JVC's New MiniDV Camcorders- GR-D870 and GR-D850
JVC announced a pair of new MiniDV camcorders today called the GR-D870 and the GR-D850. These two camcorders both feature 35x optical zoom lenses and 2.7-inch LCD displays along with automatic backlight control.
The D870 has dual recording with Live Slow feature. This feature allows users to shoot still images and video at the same time. The Live Slow feature allows for slow motion video with audio commentary at the same time. Read more

JVC HD Everio GZ-HD6 and GZ-HD5 Camcorders
Today JVC unveiled a pair of new HD Everio HDD camcorders that record in full 1080p HD format. The GZ-HD6 and GZ-HD5 are 45% smaller than previous JVC HD camcorders like the GZ-HD7 without giving up quality.
Both camcorders use a FUJINON HD lens and a progressive scan 3CCD imaging system. The JVC Gigabrid processing engine delivers the full HD recording capability. Both cameras output video at 1080p 60 fps via HDMI 1.3 with x.v. Color. Read more

New JVC HP-RX900 and HP-RX700 Headphones
JVC announces the HP-RX900 and HP-RX700 headphones in Japan.
The new over the ear JVC HP-RX900 features a 50mm driver and 7Hz to 26,000Hz frequency spectrum. JVC bundles a 1.5m (for 3.5m overall cable length) extension cord for using the headphones in combination with large screen TVs.

JVC claims World’s thinnest LCD TVs at CES 2008
JVC today unveiled the world’s thinnest LCD TVs with built-in tuners. The ultra thin Hitachi LCD TVs, which also are just 1.5 inch deep have an external tuner.
The new JVC line of super-slim Full HD TVs also weigh less and consume less power than conventional LCD TVs.
JVC’s new slim LCD TVs feature a cabinet that across most of its width measures a mere 1.5 inches (39mm) deep, with a maximum depth of just 2.9-inches (74mm) at the panel’s center.

Our review partner Digital Trends published a review of the new JVC EVERIO GZ-HD3 digital camcorder. JVC announced the GZ-HD3 in July. The JVC Everio GZ-HD3 records onto an integrated 60GB hard-drive or onto SDHC memory cards.

JVC Victor to lay off 1,150 Employees
Apparently you guys did not buy enough JVC TVs and JVC HDD camcorders. JVC plans to lay off 1,150 employees, which are about 18% of their work force.
The cost cutting plans come after JVC and Kenwood agreed to a capital and business tie-up back in July.
