The T1 heat spreader uses HyperX Thermal Xchange HTX technology to diffuse heat built up from overclocking with more efficiency.

Kingston is using the new T1 spreader on both DDR3 and DDR2 kits. The DDR3 kits are triple channel kits for the new Core i7 CPU and are offered in 2GHz, 1866MHz, and 1800MHz frequencies. All of the Core i7 kits operate on 1.65V to avoid damaging the CPU. A 3GB 2GHz triple channel kit retails for $435. Read more

The catch is that the memory voltage the new system will handle are significantly lower than previous systems. This means that enthusiasts will likely need new RAM for the platform.

Kingston has announced its first triple channel HyperX DDR3 kit for the platform. The kit promises speeds of 2GHz at only 1.65V, the max for the platform. The RAM comes in kits including three 1GB DIMMS. Also available are 1866MHz, 1800MHz, and low latency 1600MHz and 1375MHz kits. The high-end kit costs $334 with the low-end value triple channel kits going for $132. Read more

Then we moved to 4 GB, then 8 GB, and finally 16 GB capacities. With many of today's digital HD camcorders being able to record to SDHC cards, even 16 GB wasn't enough capacity for some users.

To meet the demand for even more capacity Kingston Technology has announced a new 32 GB Elite Pro SDHC memory card. Kingston says that the new 32 GB card can capture more than 6000 full resolution 10 megapixel images or over eight hours of HD video at 6 Mbps. The card is rated as a speed class 4, guaranteeing 4 MB per second minimum data transfer rate. All that storage capacity doesn't come cheap though, the suggested retail price for the 32 GB memory card is $308. Read more
