Kmart announced details about their Black Friday deals. Kmart offers on Black Friday 2009 "Better than Black Friday" and "Blue Friday" doorbusters, layaway (both in store and online), extended store hours, as well as the chance to win prizes as part of the "Christmas Countdown" sweepstakes.

On Black Friday, Kmart is painting Black Friday blue with "Blue Friday" specials. "Blue Friday" specials will be available once the doors open on Friday, Nov. 27th, and more deals will be announced throughout the day.

Sears and Kmart Also Offer Online Layaway For Holiday Shoppers

Layaway was already available at some stores last Christmas and is actually a very dated offering, but with the bad economy it has found new popularity. Layaway allows buyers to put a product on hold and pay it off over a set period of time. With the final payment they can take the purchased product home.
Layaway is offered by several stores including ToysRUs, Sears and Kmart in stores and on select products.
The Sears Holding, which also runs Kmart is now expanding Layaway to products sold in their online shops.

Kmart confirms PS3 Price Cut?

Well all of those rumors of a new slim PS3 and a price cut coming on the PS3 console have been given a bit more weight thanks to Kmart of all places. An ad has surfaced on Kmart.com that promises a new low price for the PS3.

The ad also says that there is an exciting new PS3 as well. The image on the ad shows the PS3 that we are all used to. The scuttlebutt says that the new PS3 the ad alludes to is the PS3 slim and that the low price is only as long as the supplies of the old and fat PS3's last. Read more

Cyber Monday 2008 Deals on Kmart unveiled

Cyber Monday is supposedly the Online Black Friday. The term Cyber Monday, which was created by Shop.org (part of the National Retail Federation) just made it into the retailer marketing strategies back in November of 2005.
Cyber Monday has established itself pretty well though and it is just another way for retailers to call out sales. It is an ideal day, as people are back from vacations and back in the office where you think they would work, but they just shop apparently online all day long.

The Black Friday deals include a Sony Bravia M Series 19" Class LCD HDTV KDL19M4000 (photo) selling for $499.99 before a $125 in-store savings. A quick price comparison shows that this HDTV is available from retailers as low as $427. With the $125 in-store savings offered at Kmart the price comes down to a decent $374.99. Read more

As reported Kmart kicked off Black Friday at the beginning of November. Initially Kmart offered Black Friday prices in stores on Sundays. Now Kmart is offering the same electronics Black Friday deals on their online shop.

Leading the Kmart Black Friday offers is a 32 inch Sylvania LCD HDTV LC320SS9. Kmart offers this low-end TV for $439.99 instead of $550. If you compare prices for the Sylvania LC320SS9 than this is actually a great deal. As reported last weekend Kmart has already started with Early Black Friday sales. Last weekend the deals as far as I found out were not interesting. This Sunday Kmart is offering several consumer electronics with special sale prices that are at least worth a look.

Kmart starts early Black Friday Sales on Sunday

It was already a trend last year to start the Black Friday and Thanksgiving Sales days before. Kmart is now taking it to the extreme and starts their Black Friday Sales this Sunday November 2nd.

Update: Kmart Black Friday deals for Sunday Nov. 9th

Apparently Kmart will start to offer only Black Friday deals in the home electronics product category as you guys seem to be hesitant about buying new TVs and Blu-ray players.

The Kmart Early Black Friday deal will include 15 items that will be announced in circulars on November 2nd. Read more
