Kyocera KYOTOP HIP 6-inch Chef's Knife is I4U Top 100 Holiday Gift Tip #36
Everyone needs a good knife; sure, you can run down to Wal-Mart and grab an entire knife set for $20. However, as many owners of cheap knife sets can attest, they simply don’t cut well. When you are trying to make dinner after a long day at work the last thing you want is a knife that makes cutting meat or vegetables more difficult than needed.
When you say knife most of us think about metal cutting utensils, what many don’t think of is ceramic. In fact, some of the sharpest and most durable knives you can buy are made from ceramic. The Kyocera KT-155HIP-D 6-inch Chef's /knife is a great example. Not only does it look cool, but also the ceramic is harder than metal and keeps a sharp edge much better than metal. Read more

Victorinox cleaned CeBit from Swiss Army USB Knife Knock-Offs
Famous Swiss pocket knife maker cleaned out several booths of Asian exhibitors who pirated the already classic swissbit USB Swiss Army knife.
Apparently seven companies had a visit from German Police. Two booths have been cleaned out completely.
Trade-shows are apparently the best way to do something against copy-cats.
If the copies look like they are from Victorinox it is bad for the consumer. If you buy a Swiss pocket knife you want it to be made in Switzerland with associated quality.

The Swiss Army Knife Crisis
The Victorinox Swiss Army Knife can maybe be called the original portable gadget invented over 100 years ago.
Apparently the airline security regulations since 9/11 turned the Swiss Army Knife business up side down. From one day to the next sales fell by 40%. Victorinox bought the only other Swiss Army Knife company Wenger SA in April before it went
bankrupt.
The Guardian has an interesting article with more details and interview with the Victorinox CEO.

Swiss Army Memory USB Knife Review
GadgetMadness reviews the Swiss Army Memory USB Knife.
Quote:
"Honestly, when I saw the Swiss 64MB Memory USB Army Knife, I thought to myself "this is just a gimmick to sell more Swiss Army knives." I bet you are already thinking the same thing I did: I already OWN a Swiss Army knife and a USB memory drive, and this thing only has 64MB of memory, so why would I want it? After playing with this gadget for about a week it became clear to me why everyone should have one of these: Victorinox only makes quality products, and the Swiss USB Memory knife is no exception. The included SecureLock software utility on the drive makes this USB memory device one of the best on the market."
