Kodak EasyShare 5500 All-in-One Printer with Cheap Ink

Topic:

Kodak EasyShare 5500 All-in-One Printer with Cheap Ink Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review One of the most overpriced items in the computer arena this side of anything with the Apple logo on it is ink for ink jet printers. We all know that it can be cheaper to buy a new printer than to replace your ink cartridges.

After all it’s not the printers that are the big money makers it is the ink that you have to replace. Take my Epson RX700, which uses six ink cartridges that each cost in the realm of $15. That means each time I need to replace the cartridges it costs me $90. Kodak is bringing to market new printers that use Kodak’s own inks that stop the ink rape we see now. Read more

Kodak Bringing Theaters Into the 21st Century

Topic:

Kodak Bringing Theaters Into the 21st Century Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review In a move that's long overdue, Kodak is taking the intiative to fully digitize movie theaters across the country. While things like concession stand POS machines and online movie ticket purchases have driven new technology to theaters, most of the rest of the operation has remained quite primitive.

Kodak has created their own "theater management software", which acts sort of like a big operating system for the entire theater, allowing control of things like lighting and temperature by the press of a button. And the best news -- those pre-show advertisements (I'm talking about the pre-advertisement advertisements) will be converted into digital videos instead of the snooze-worthy slideshows that currently play in most theaters, a source close to the project told I4U. Kodak Easyshare V610 Review

Topic:

Kodak Easyshare V610 Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Our partners Designtechnica aka Digitaltrends reviewed the just released Kodak Easyshare V610.

Quote:
"Poor Panasonic. Trying hard to make headlines in the digital camera arena with the new 5-megapixel Lumix DMC- TZ1, the “thinnest 10x optical zoom camera available” at 1.58 inches thick Kodak comes along and trumps them with the 6MP EasyShare V610, a dual lens 10x zoom camera that’s .9 inches thick. Although it’s not a true 10x optical zoom like the TZ1 with its range of 35-350mm (more on this in a bit), Kodak’s marketing hype will surely trump our friends in Secaucus, NJ. "

Kodak EasyShare One Digital Camera Review

Topic:

Kodak EasyShare One Digital Camera Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Our partner Designtechnica reviews the Kodak EasyShare One Digital Camera.

Quote:
"Wi-Fi is all the rage. It's moved from geeks to mainstream, especially when a hardly cutting-edge company like Kodak introduces a Wi-Fi- enabled digital camera. The EasyShare One lets you email pictures from the camera and connect to the Kodak EasyShare Gallery (formerly Ofoto) using the 802.11b protocol.
Once on the site you can alert folks that you have images to share and access all of your images. Kodak is working with T-Mobile so you have 6,000 hotspots across the U.S. to choose from to beam your images to the outside world. Or if that's not your cup of latte you can simply beam photos to your Wi-Fi enabled laptop or printer.
The new 4-megapixel digital camera goes beyond offering wireless connectivity. The camera has 256MB of internal memory so it holds up to 1,500 images, making it a portable digital photo album. It also has a huge swiveling 3-inch touch-screen LCD for framing and reviewing your Kodak moments."
