Samsung shows ultra-thin 0.05mm OLED Panel
Samsung SDI shows an ultra-thin OLED panel at the FPD International 2008 conference.
Samsung calls it the flapping display. I guess they just want to underline the fact that it is so thin that it moves with the wind.
Samsung says they could make an even thinner OLED panel, but the circuit components around the display are harder to make thinner than 0.05mm.
For my taste it is thin enough. Now it just needs to be bigger than 4 inches and have more resolution than 480x272px.

iPhone 3G could sell as low as $99 and T-Mobile G1 gets rolledback at Wal-mart
The smartphone battle will still get a lot more interesting for us consumers on the pricing side of things. Analyst Charlie Wolf of Needham Research says that Apple can afford to drop the iPhone 3G price to $99 if necessary. Via Electronista.
Given the high prices RIM keeps on their new Blackberry Bold ($299.99 with 2 year contract) and most likely also on the new BlackBerry Storm a price drop like that would hurt pretty bad.
The only other smartphone that would not hesitate to cut prices is the new T-Mobile G1 as it seems.

Despite that, Hardcore Computers has announced a PC called the Reactor that uses full submersion technology. The machine claims to be the first commercially available high-performance PC with total liquid immersion cooling technology.
All heat-producing components of the system are submerged in liquid including the CPU, motherboard, video card, memory and both power supplies. Yes I said both, the system has dual redundant server class 650W PSUs. Other features include X-Fi sound card, hot swappable hard drives and more. The liquid used for cooling is custom dielectric coolant called Core Coolant. I have to wonder how you can go about upgrading parts like video cards and RAM if you want. Read more
