Verizon Wireless announces today the Blitz QERTY texting phone.
The Blitz comes complete with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 2.2 inch color screen. Additionally the Blitz is equipped with an MP3 player that can access Verizon Wireless V CAST Music T Music with Rhapsody’s library of 5 million songs.
Other features of the Blitz include 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, and headset jack.

Sanyo announced new gadgets powered by the rechargeable eneloop batteries including the new eneloop Solar light.
The eneloop solar light is equipped with the proprietary high efficiency HIT solar cell, a product originally developed by Sanyo, installed in various roof forms worldwide.

Aiptek unveiled the Pocket Cinema V10 LED projector about the size of a mobile phone.
The Aiptek Pocket Cinema V10 already ships in Germany for 299 EUR (~$437). Measurements of the Aiptek V10 are only 125x55x23mm and it can project video with VGA resolution up to 50 inch in size.
With the integrated 1GB of storage and the SD card slot you can just appear at meeting with the Aiptek V10 and dazzle your audience with the tiny projector gadget.

Logitech Squeezebox Boom Unveiled
Logitech has announced its latest Squeezebox network music player called the Squeezebox Boom. The Boom has an integrated amp, high-performance speakers, and simple setup. The portable system only needs to be plugged into an AC outlet and your PC based music collection can be streamed with no problems anywhere in the home.
The Boom will automatically find available networks and supports password protected networks. Multiple Squeezebox Boom players can operate on one network and allow users to listen to different music at the same time. Wi-Fi connectivity with the Boom is 802.11g and it has dual antennas. Delta Unveils First LED Backlit Projector
Delta Electronics has unveiled the development of a fully LED backlit projector for the consumer market. The projector uses Delta's high throughput LED optics and can display full 1080p resolution. The image quality promises to be higher than other projectors on the market.
The big benefit of using LEDs is the lamp life -- 20000 with normal operation. The projector uses DLP technology and is being shown for the first time at IFA in Berlin. It is unknown when the projector will be available for purchase and what the price will be. Read more

Samsung X360 at IFA 2008 revealed
Samsung unveiled the ultra-light notebook Samsung X360 at the IFA 2008 in Berlin.
The Samsung X360 features a 13.3 inch LED backlit display and can be had with a 120GB SSD or 120GB HDD.
The X360 only weighs 1.27kg and features a slick Protect-o-Edge dubbed case design.
Other features of the Samsung X360 include Intel Centrino 2 Ultra Low Voltage CPU, 3 USB ports, HDMI, VGA, 7-in-1 card reader, Bluetooth, 802.11n, and 1.3MP video camera.

Sony KDL-40ZX1 9.9mm thin HDTV revealed
Sony unveiled the world's thinnest LCD TV with the 40 inch KDL-40ZX1 today.
The Sony KDL-40ZX1 only measures 9.9mm in depth. Because the 40ZX1 is so skinny it is also the world's lightest 40 inch LCD TV with 12.2kg.
In addition the Sony ZX1 series LCD TV features wireless video reception dubbed Bravia 1080 Wireless.
Other features of the Sony ZX1 include 3000:1 contrast ratio, full HD 1080p resolution, Motion flow of 120 Hz, 3 HDMI ports, digital and analog tuner, LAN, and USB.

Albatron Tee PC mini Tablet unveiled
Taiwanese Albatron unveiled the Tee PC, a mini tablet netbook. The Tee PC is closer to a PDA (remember PDAs? Personal Digital Assistants, they got killed by smartphones) as it runs Windows CE 6.0 than the current wave of XP or Linux sporting netbooks.
The Tee PC measures 188x113x13mm and weighs 343g. Other features of the Windows CE netbook include 400MHz ARM926, 7 inch screen with 800x480px resolution, 128MB RAM, 128MB NAND, Wifi, Bluetooth and 0.3/1.3MP camera.

The new Asus F8 notebooks come in several colors and feature the Asus Express Gate technology to go online in 8s.
The Asus F8 comes in five colors: blue, black, maroon, pink or white.
Not only is the ASUS F8 powered by a dedicated higher performance 3D graphics core, it also features a built-in TV tuner (depending on market) with a remote control that is safely stored in its own slot on the notebook when not in use.

Asus unveiled a new set of Asus F6 notebooks that come in different styles with different fragrances. Why a notebook should have a smell is not really clear to me, but maybe you like it.
The lifespan of the fragrance applied to the Asus F6 depends on actual usage of the notebook. This means you should not lick it.
The available styles and fragrances sound like Axe deodorant names: Floral Blossom, Musky Black (photo), Morning Dew and Aqua Ocean.

Asus unveils the two new gaming notebooks in the G Series as part of the Asus Republic of Gamers product (ROG) line-up.
The new Asus G71 (17 inch) and G50 (15 inch) are the new gaming notebooks from Asus. Toshiba XD-E500 DVD Player with XDE unveiled
Toshiba as you know lost the HD DVD format war and had to bury their HD-DVD format and leave the field to Sony's Blu-ray.
Today Toshiba announced a new DVD player technology dubbed XDE. XDE takes according to Toshiba the DVD picture quality to a whole new level. In addition to providing upconversion from 480i/p up to 1080p, XDE offers user selectable picture enhancement modes that allow for greater detail, more vivid colors and stronger contrast that bring standard DVD quality closer to the HD experience.
This is a nice try by Toshiba to reduce the value of Blu-ray by improving the DVD picture quality.

If you have ever said that you'll by an iPod dock when pigs fly, the iPig may be as close as you are likely to get. The iPig is available in three colors -- including white, pink, and yellow. The iPig's eyes are actually speakers, and the mouth under the nose glows green when the power is on.
