Bullguard and SteelSeries Announce PC Security for Gamers
According to security software maker Bullguard about 20% of gamers don’t use Pc security of any kind. To address the needs for security among gamers, Bullguard announced its Gamers' Edition software.
The software doesn’t require lots of resources and when placed in game profile the user gets no firewall or update messages while playing. The software provides full antivirus, antispyware, and firewall. Pricing for the software is EUR49.99 for a year's subscription. Read more

Verizon Wireless and LG Electronics today introduced the LG Voyager in Titanium.
The Titanium LG Voyager is boasting the same dual-screen design and features of its predecessor in black, the Voyager in Titanium has a titanium finish and also supports V CAST Music with Rhapsody and Visual Voice Mail.

LG N4B1 Blu-ray NAS premiers at IFA 2008
LG will unveil the N4B1 Blu-ray NAS (Network Attached Storage) at the IFA 2008 later this week.
LG claims that the LG N4B1 is the world's first NAS with integrated Blu-ray drive. Owners of a N4B1 can automatically archive old and unused data to Blu-ray disc. The LG N4B1 has a web interface and is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.

LG and AT&T Introduce the Invision Mobile Phone
LG Mobile Phones announced a new handset called the Invision that will be an AT&T exclusive handset. The Invision is the third device to offer access to AT&T Mobile TV and is the smallest mobile TV capable phone in the United States. The handset measures 4 inches tall x 2 inches wide x less than a half-inch thick.
The handset allows TV fans to watch their favorite programs including college football games on CBS mobile, ESPN mobile, Fox mobile, and NBC2GO. The handset also offers Video Share calling and has 1.3-megapixel camera. Read more

Visual Voice Mail announced by Verizon for LG Voyager
Verizon Wireless announces Visual Voice Mail service available today on the LG Voyager smartphone.
Visual Voice Mail was first available on the Apple iPhone. Since Apple had to license Visual Voice Mail from Klausner it seems everyone who licenses from them can call it Visual Voice Mail.

LG announces the palm-sized LED projector LG HS102G. Measurements of the highly portable new LG projector are 154x117mm, and the weight is 780g.
The LED DLP HS102G projector achieves a lamp life of over 30,000 hours and runs at a very quite 23db.
The brightness of the HS102G is 160 ANSI Lumen and the contrast ratio is 2,000:1.

LG first to mass-produce Halogen-free 13.3 inch LCD Panel
LG announces that they will commence mass-production of environmentally friendly 13.3 inch notebook display panels this month.
The new LCD panels are halogen-free, meaning that the concentration of Bromine (Br) and chlorine (Cl) got dramatically reduced in these panels.

New LG BD300 Blu-ray Player streams Netflix
Netflix gets another hardware device that supports their on demand video service. The Roku Netflix player was launched in May. Now LG announced the LG BD300 Blu-ray player with Netflix movie streaming capability.
Available this fall, the LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player will play high definition Blu-ray discs, up-convert standard DVDs to 1080p and allow Netflix subscribers to instantly stream more than 12,000 choices of movies and TV episodes from Netflix to the TV for no additional charge.

New moldless Mobile Phone Displays by LG Innotek
LG Innotek is manufacturing new LCD displays for mobile phones that are much more compact as they almost get rid of the frame around the visible display.
LG calls these new displays mold-less. Currently the company produces 2.2 by 2.4 inch moldless displays.

LG XD1 stylish portable hard-drives unveiled
LG unveils the XD1 line of portable hard-drives.
The LG XD1 devices are based on 2.5 inch drives with a SATA II interface. The USB 2.0 E-SATA port has transfer speeds of up to 480mbps.
LG will offer the XD1 in capacities of 120, 160, 250, and 320GB.

LG Electronics announces three new notebooks that are based on the new Intel Centrino 2 platform that was also just announced by Intel. The new LG notebooks include the LG X-Note S510, R510 and R410 models.

Text Messaging Champion Crowned by LG
LG has crowned the champion of its second annual LG National Texting Competition. The finals were held July 9th in New York City and Nathan Schwartz from Ohio won $50,000 in prize money for his texting skills.
The text that Schwartz sent to win the competition was, “Does everybody here know the alphabet? Let's text. Here it goes ... AbcDeFghiJKlmNoPQrStuvWXy & Z! Now I know my A-B-C's, next time won't you text with me?" Schwartz was able to complete the text accurately in 50 seconds. The competition was only open to those with active LG phones. Read more

LG and Samsung sexy Phone Girls at the CommunicAsia 2008
LG and Samsung pushed out photos featuring models with the phones the companies exhibit at the CommunicAsia 2008 in Singapore. There are no real new phones, but the photos are nice to look at, especially the ones from LG.
LG features the LG-KF750, LG-KT610 Symbian QWERTY smartphone, LG-KC550 and LG-KS360.

LG Dare, LG Chocolate 3 and LG Decoy new at Verizon
Verizon Wireless is expanding its LG line-up with the LG Dare, LG Decoy, and the new LG Chocolate 3.
The most interesting of the three new LG phones from Verizon is the LG Dare touch-screen phone.
The 3G V-Cast enabled LG Dare features a 3.2MP camera, in-phone photo editing tool, direct uploads to a social networking site. Other details are still not published. Verizon promises updates on the Dare later this month.
