LG Chocolate Touch Available On Verizon Wireless
Another day, another sweet new mobile release. Verizon has just announced that the LG Chocolate Touch is now available for their subscribers. While it certainly lacks the power of VZW's new Droid, the Chocolate Touch has a number of sweet options for music lovers and a low price to boot. $79.99 (after a $50 main in rebate) and a 2-year contract puts this new LG mediaphone in your pocket.
The Chocolate touch benefits from Dolby Mobile, which LG claims helps to increase the quality, volume, and depth of the music it plays. It also packs an FM radio with 12 pre-sets, as well as piano and drum set “Join the band” functions that let you play along to your favorite music.

LG 55LH40 55-inch 120Hz LCD HDTV Has Bargain Price On Amazon
If you look closely you can already find extremely good deals on Amazon.com today, before the whole Black Friday deal bonanza even begins.
I stumbled over the LG 55LH40 55-inch 120Hz LCD HDTV in the Electronics Movers and Shakers list on Amazon. It has improved its sales rank by over 3,000%. At first I though the $1,472 price tag (list: $2,199.95) is the reason for this rise, but it could be a much lower price actually.
Amazon has a See Price In Cart offer on the LG 55LH40 of only $1,198.94. I could not find this big LCD 120Hz LCD HDTV at even close to that price anywhere else (Compare Prices).

Android LG Eve Videos, Pictures Leak
Before the year is out, LG will join the swelling ranks of Android smartphone manufacturers. Their first Android phone will be a low-budget number called the Eve. It'll be out sometime in Q4 and, according to Phandroid it will be available in Canada on Rogers Wireless, in addition to several European carriers. The folks at Android and Me have managed to dredge up some new images and bizarre commercials for the Eve.
Both commercials heavily emphasize the Eve's social networking capabilies, which seem to revolve around integrating a contact's phone number, facebook status, twitter updates, and other social media information together in a single phonebook entry. The UI looks fine, but there doesn't appear to be anything that distinguishes it from the herd. This is certainly no MotoBlur or Sense.

Motorola Droid, Calgary In Verizon Internal Systems
There's been more hype around the release of the Motorola Droid (aka Sholes aka Tao) than pretty much any smartphone since the iPhone 3GS. By contrast, very little is known about the Calgary, which was initially billed as Motorola's first Android smartphone. The one factor (other than Android) that unites these two smartphones is the fact that, according to Boy Genius, they've both just been spotted in Verizon's internal systems.
Every VZW retail outlet has a gadget called a Cellebrite. The Cellebrite allows employees to transfer customer data from phone to phone. Apparently, the latest Cellebrite update added both the Motorola Droid, and the Calgary A555 to its internal library. This means that both phones are very close to a release date.

Is It Already Black Friday? LG BD 370 Netflix Blu-ray Player Only $150
It was not that long ago that the Sony PS3 was the most affordable Blu-ray player. Prices really just dropped dramatically last year. This Holiday shopping season Blu-ray players will most likely see even lower prices.
What is new this year is that many Blu-ray players now offer network services to get Netflix, Youtube and other streaming video services.
The price war on Blu-ray players has already started though. Home Media reports that California electronics retailer Ken Cranes already announced 50% Blu-ray players, bringing some models to under $100.

LG BD390 Blu-ray Player Review
The LG BD390 (BD 390) is one of the most interesting Blu-ray player currently on the market. I have already ordered it as well, but it is on bloody back-order here in Germany.
The guys at InsideHW have just tested an LG BD390 and liked it quite a bit.
Quote from the review: "Earlier this year LG presented its first Blu-ray player (LG BD370) which was revolutionary at that moment, and now, we present you its
successor: LG BD390. Our expectations for this model were high, but we must admit that despite our high expectations we were still pleasantly surprised with features that this player offers.

LG Pop: Solar-Powered Smartphone
As my co-workers will tell you, I'm a sucker for solar power. There's just something awesome about having the ability to keep your gear powered anywhere in the world, without worrying about having enough fuel or spare batteries. LG knows that people like me exist, and that's why they've launched the LG Pop (via Electronista) today.
The Pop (it's friends call it GD510) has an aluminium shell and a 3" touchscreen. It has a single-button interface and an optional solar panel on the back. Unfortunately, the Pop is not 3G capable; it can only handle EDGE (2G). That's a bit disappointing, but the rest of the specs are fairly solid; 3 MP camera, 8 GB of space, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

HP Obsidian & LG Monaco: Heading To AT&T
Two new smartphones, built around the upcoming WinMo 6.5 OS, will be hitting AT&T before the end of the year. According to a road map Boy Genius leaked onto the Internet, both the HP Obsidian and LG Monaco are set for a November launch. There's going to be a lot of WinMo 6.5 coming down the pipe this holiday season, better start working on those Christmas lists.
The HP Obsidian looks like a pretty bog-standard mid-level smartphone so far. It's got Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, a full QWERTY keyboard, a microSD slot, GPS, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and WinMo 6.5. It can connect through GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA (850/1900/2100MHz). We've got no further information on the hardware or pricing yet.

LG Extra-Wide WIDEBOOKS Launch
Are the current CULVs on the market just too thin for you? No? Well, that's what LG thinks a lot of people have been waiting for. A wider notebook. It makes a little sense; movies will look a lot more cinematic this way. Not coincidentally, that seems to be pretty much the entirety of LG's marketing campaign for these babies.
Check it, the WIDEBOOKS all come with 16:9 HD LED-backlit monitors and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The R580 and R560 both feature a 15.6" screen, while the R380 has a 13.3" screen. The R480 and R460 have 14" displays. The R580 has a Blu-ray drive. If you're buying a WIDEBOOK for a 'cinematic' experience, that's the one to get.
