The 600 uses the same 2.4GHz wireless technology and has the same 1,000 dpi sensitivity. The main difference is that the 6000 has a dockable transceiver like you normally find on notebook mice. This means that the 6000 will be great for notebook users wanting a bigger mouse. Read more

Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000, Longest Product Name Ever?

Topic:

Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000, Longest Product Name Ever? Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review For a long time Microsoft has made a line of keyboards called the Natural series. These are the slightly weird looking keyboards that have either split key arrangements or angled keys to help reduce repetitive stress injuries.

What the series has lacked, until now, is a mouse that also features a design to reduce repetitive stress injuries as well. The new mouse has one of the longest product names I have seen, Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. I feel like I should be sing/shouting it to the tune of Mystery Science Theater 3000. The guys over at Everything USB got their hands on the MNWLM6k for a review. Read more

Laser Mouse Logitech MX-1000 Review

Topic:

Laser Mouse Logitech MX-1000 Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Hardware Pacers has posted a review of the Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse - Compare Prices.

Quote:
"It all started with an alliance between Logitech & Agilent where they revealed that a singular wavelength of laser light is capable of providing much greater surface detail than the LED found in the regular optical mice. As Logitech knew that there would be high market demand for such a great innovation, the typical cost of 1,000 USD for laser measuring system was reduced to an 80 USD mouse with this technology. According to Agilent, the laser mouse was found to have 20 times more sensitivity to surface detail than optical mice, and in addition to the laser capturing 5.8 megapixels of data every second, this technology had to surface ASAP and here we see it today in retail stores and in everyone's budget."

Topic:

Laser Mouse Logitech MX-1000 Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Logitech introduces new Optical Mouse MX-1000 with Laser Technology. Logitech did not officially announce the MX-1000 yet, but several stores already carry the Laser Mouse starting at $72.16.

The new Logitech MX Laser Engine provides 20x times the tracking accuracy of standard optical systems. The Wireless Mouse has Logitech's Fast RF, which supposedly is nearly as fast as USB. The Mouse has forward and backward buttons (a must for me) and a tilt wheel. The MX-1000 also features a battery indicator.
