Unlimited Closed Beta Underway for MMORPG Pet Game
When I first read that an MMORPG game based on pets was in closed beta my first thought was why. Why would you want a MMORPG game where you took the form of a pet? I don’t get it, but I guess all those out there who like to dress up their pets in clothes might think this is the coolest game idea ever.
The game is called Pocketpet Journey West and the developer of the game, Perfect World Co, announced today that the MMORPG was now in an unlimited closed beta test which will start on July 17th. An in game item mall will be open during the beta as well. I can only assume you can buy things like chew toys and sweaters for your virtual pet character there. Read more

Nokia buys Symbian Limited for $411m
Nokia pays 264m Euro (~$411m) to buy the remaining shares of Symbian Limited, which they do not already own. This move is the enabler for the big announcement of the new open Symbian platform and the Symbian Foundation.

Microsoft Zune Limited Edition Designed by Peter Saville
Microsoft announced a new limited edition Zune today to commemorate the release of Joy Division. The designer artwork on the Zune is by Peter Saville. The custom Zune will come pre-loaded with the Joy Division documentary film.
The artwork on the Zune itself comes from Joy Division’s “Unknown Pleasures” album. The custom Zune is limited to only 500 devices and will go on sale on June 17th at $399.99. The Zune marketplace will also feature outtakes from the DVD movie loaded onto the special Zune player. Read more

MGS4 Limited Edition PS3 Hardware Bundle Details
More details about the Metal Gear Solid 4 special edition Sony PS3 console bundle have been released by Sony. As reported in April Konami and Sony announced they would also bring the gun metal colored MGS4 PS3 to the United States.

MGS4 Sony PS3 Console Limited Edition
Konami announces a special limited edition Sony PS3 console with a special color to be released with Metal Gear Solid 4 (MGS4).
Metal Gear Solid 4 launches world-wide on June 12th.
The slick gun-metal colored finish Sony PS3 looks actually quite good. It is a pity that the MGS4 Sony PS3 will only be available in a limited number and is so far only announced for Japan.

Apple thinks about unlimited Music Offering
The Financial Times reports that Apple has begun discussions with big music labels about a new and radical business model, where you would get free access to all music on iTunes for a one time fee.
Nokia already launched an all-you-can-eat music offering with Comes with Music last year. As reported, there are restrictions to what Nokia calls free.

Verizon Unlimited Voice Plan
Verizon wireless announced today that it is adding a new unlimited voice plan to its lineup. The unlimited plan allows users to call anyone in the US on any landline or mobile service.
The new plan will be a veritable bargain at $99.99 a month. Verizon also says it is enhancing its BroadbandAccess plans for two choices in wireless web access. Starting on March 2nd there will be two plans with one data plan giving 50MB of data transfer and another offering 5GB. Read more

Netflix Announces Unlimited Streaming of Movies and TV to PC
Netflix announced today that it was adding unlimited streaming of TV and some movies for its members on the unlimited movies plan for the same price. Starting today Netflix unlimited plan members can stream as many hours of movies and TV programming as they want to their PCs.
Previously members on the $17 unlimited DVD plan could only stream 17 hours of programming to their PCs. "Unlimited has always been a very powerful selling point with our subscribers and a large part of what set us apart in the marketplace," said Leslie Kilgore, the company's chief marketing officer. "In talking with members about our streaming feature during the past year, it became clear that, as with DVDs, the idea of streaming unlimited movies and TV episodes on a PC resonated quite strongly. Microsoft offers to replace scratched Halo 3 Limited Edition Game Discs
Looks like there are some unlucky Halo 3 users out there, who got a scratched Halo 3 disc from Microsoft.
The Halo 3 Limited Edition Game Disc and Essentials Disc are apparently prone to scratches by the packaging. Microsoft just issued a free replacement program for those Halo 3 discs that is running until the end of the year.
