Quote from the review: "The more I play with this thing, the more I’m reminded of the Phasers that they used in Star Trek; it’s uncanny. I can almost pretend I’m Patrick Stewart dashing about in a well fitted uniform, barking out orders to my number one in a fine English accent.

Logitech has addressed this issue with their new MX Air mouse which can be used in the air without the need for a desk. The MX Air is used a lot like the Wii remote and is surprisingly accurate both in normal use on a desk and in the air. Read more

Logitech MX610 Left-Handed Wireless Mouse
Logitech has made some of the best mice for gaming and general PC use for years. It always seemed that the coolest mice were designed ergonomically and intended for use in the right hand only, leaving lefties out in the cold or awkwardly using a right hand mouse.
Logitech is now stepping up with their first mouse designed for left-handed use only, the MX 610 Left-Hand Laser Cordless Mouse. This version of the standard MX610 shares all the same specs and components, but has the thumb depression and thumb buttons mounted for use by the left hand. Read more

Quote from the Mouse review:
"Logitech holds the crown for the best mice and keyboards available for Windows today. The endless array of choices, from the corded to cordless and gamer to casual user, has made us ask, “What else is left?” How can something as simple as a mouse undergo so many revisions and still offer something fresh?
Enter the Revolution MX and VX laser mice. Differences between the MX and VX versions are discussed at the end of the review, as we had both on hand to tinker with.

Logitech MX Revolution Review
Logitech is a maker of some great computer peripherals from game controllers to keyboards and mice. Over at Everything USB I took a look at the new Logitech MX Revolution mouse and found it to be quite revolutionary. The coolest feature of the MX Revolution is the free-wheel scroll mode. This mode allows the scroll wheel to spin freely, for up to 10 seconds I found in testing. On some pages the free-wheel scroll wouldn’t work but overall it was a great mouse.

Logitech MX610 Mouse Review
Everything USB reviews the new Logitech MX610 Mouse.
Quote:
"Logitech has innovated once again with the MX610, making it the first mouse to actually receive information as well as transmit it. Operating wirelessly over 2.4GHz, the mouse is actually told when the computer is turned on and off and put to sleep, powering on and off accordingly to save battery life. This can be further extended by powering off the mouse manually if away from the desk or for computers that are never turned off.
But why stop there? Instead of just cutting cords, Logitech also attempted to the chains that bond telecommuters to their desk.

Logitech MX518 Gamer Mouse Review
EverythingUSB reviews the Logitech MX518 mouse, which is the successor to the MX510.
Quote:
"Optical illusions are fascinating. What are really just a few dots of ink can effectively fool the mind's depth perception and color recognition, enough to make you look twice and try to feel what's actually there. The MX518 takes advantage of this art with its new faceplate. A dark metallic silver color appears to absorb light in different areas, giving off the appearance of very deep dents in the mouse itself. The Swiss-cheese-like 'holes' are very similar to the NASA photos of moon craters, or perhaps more like someone putting speed holes in a new car with a pickaxe. Whatever it looks like, it will definitely pull attention on store shelves with the see-through box it's packaged in.
"

The Logitech MX518 is not available in many stores. Shopping.com lists only PC Connection. The MX518 is not available on Amazon.com.

Laser Mouse Logitech MX-1000 Review
Hardware Pacers has posted a review of the Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse - Compare Prices.
Quote:
"It all started with an alliance between Logitech & Agilent where they revealed that a singular wavelength of laser light is capable of providing much greater surface detail than the LED found in the regular optical mice. As Logitech knew that there would be high market demand for such a great innovation, the typical cost of 1,000 USD for laser measuring system was reduced to an 80 USD mouse with this technology. According to Agilent, the laser mouse was found to have 20 times more sensitivity to surface detail than optical mice, and in addition to the laser capturing 5.8 megapixels of data every second, this technology had to surface ASAP and here we see it today in retail stores and in everyone's budget."

Laser Mouse Logitech MX-1000
Logitech introduces new Optical Mouse MX-1000 with Laser Technology. Logitech did not officially announce the MX-1000 yet, but several stores already carry the Laser Mouse starting at $72.16.
The new Logitech MX Laser Engine provides 20x times the tracking accuracy of standard optical systems. The Wireless Mouse has Logitech's Fast RF, which supposedly is nearly as fast as USB. The Mouse has forward and backward buttons (a must for me) and a tilt wheel. The MX-1000 also features a battery indicator.
3dgpu already has a review of the MX-1000. See also Discussion Thread at AnandTech.
