Readius ePaper Phone comes mid 2008
Polymer Vision, the ePaper spin out from Philips is promising the Readius mobile phone again. Sounds like this year’s Mobile World Congress must start soon in Barcelona.
About one year ago Polymer Vision and the Telekom Italia was supposed to offer the Cellular-Book dubbed Readius in 2007. Looks like that did not work out and the new release of an improved Readius phone is now scheduled for mid 2008.

CES 2008: Intel Menlow based MIDs
Intel demonstrated the Menlow platform for mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) at CES 2008.
Several companies have already designed next generation mobile internet devices on the new Intel platform. Some do not look that different from the UMPC's that are currently available.
The FreeScale LimePC platform might enable more radical devices as it is squeezing a PC motherboard with graphics and audio cards, PCI, Ethernet, SATA, and USB into a device smaller than an iPod Nano.

Sanyo to focus on Batteries in mid-term Plan: Report

Midway's Blacksite: Area 51 Ships Today
Midway announced that Blacksite: Area 51 shipped to retailers nationwide today. The game is a FPS shooter with squad-based game play available for both Xbox 360 and Windows PCs.
On Xbox 360, the game retails for $59.99 and the PC version sells for $49.99. the game is scheduled to be released on PS3 in December. Blacksite: Area 51 has an ESRB rating of “T” for Teen. The game was developed using customized Unreal 3.0 Engine. Read more

LG.Philips shows Multi-touch Screen and Triple View Display at IMID 2007
At the IMID 2007 in Korea LG.Philips shows a 47 inch multi-touch display and a triple-view display solution.
Since the introduction of the Apple iPhone multi-touch displays are the new hype. A 47 inch multi-touch display can be used with both hands, which I imagine will be very engaging.

Rockstar Shows Off Midnight Club LA & Wii Table Tennis in Leipzig
Rockstar Games is showing off two of its new game titles at the Games Convention in Leipzig. One of the games is Midnight Club: Los Angeles. The trailer for the game is now online at Rockstar Games and shows interesting gameplay.
If the graphics live up to what the video shows, the game will look very good. The other title Rockstar is showing off is Table Tennis for Wii. This game is on hand at the show for visitors to try out. Read more

Polk Audio is introducing a new miDock designed for the Sirius Stiletto portable satellite radios. The miDock for Stiletto will dock the Stiletto 10, Stiletto 100, and the Stiletto 2 that was introduced just this week.

Midway and Sony Announce PS3 Exclusive Edition Stranglehold
Today Sony and Midway announced an exclusive version of Stranglehold Collectors Edition to be available on PS3. Stranglehold is a game from John Woo, the guy behind the cool flick "Hard Boiled".
The limited edition game will include the full version of the film “Hard Boiled” on the same Blu-ray disk as the game. Set to be available at select retailers at an MSRP of $69.95.
While there is no firm release date on the game/movie pack it is slated for a summer 2007 release. Stranglehold continues the story started in Hard Boiled and gamers get to play the character of Inspector Tequila. Read more

Apple TV Delayed until Mid-March
I actually just yesterday ordered the Apple TV for one of our upcoming Gadget Model shoots, and today I received an email telling me about a delay from February to Mid-March.
You can read the email I got below. Basically Apple says the wrapping up took a bit longer than expected. This is an issue that Apple seldom has, because they just do not announce a product until its available. The Apple TV was different from the beginning. Steve Jobs pre-announced the back then called iTV already in September 2006.

I never thought I would report about cigars on I4U NEWS. CAO makes it possible with their introduction of the Sensi-Box cigar humidor for the new CAO Vision cigars.
CAO will introduce a new cigar called CAO Vision. It comes with a portable high-tech humidor that features a built-in hygrometer that displays on the box the current humidity. The Sensi-Box keeps the humidity at the ideal 68 to 70%. It does that through a so called Humidipak. A small package filed with liquid that regulates the humidity inside the CAO Vision cigar box.
If you open the white box blue LEDs light up the interior.
