Intel Nehalem-EX Octal-Core CPU gets detailed
Hothardware reports that Intel just held a press conference in which Intel spoke about its next-generation server processor, currently code-named Nehalem-EX.
The Intel Nehalem-EX is based on the Nehalem microarchitecture which debuted with Xeon 5500 and Core i7 series processors.
The Nehalem-EX series however, will be decidedly more high-end in terms of specifications and performance.

Intel Core i7 – Nehalem Arrives and FSB Departs
Intel announced the Core i7 processors in August. Core i7 was formerly known as Nehalem. Tweaktown reviews the new Intel Core i7 platform launching today.

Intel Core i7 is Nehalem Bloomfield CPU Brand
Intel Core i7 brand name leaked on HKEPC through what seems to be official Intel logo graphics and slides. The Nehalem based Bloomfield CPUs are supposed to carry the Intel Core i7 brand.
The Intel Core i7 CPUs would start shipping in September, but could be actually be delayed to October as motherboard vendors are supposedly not ready with X58 motherboards.

Intel Nehalem Bloomfield CPUs already coming in September
Digitimes reports that Intel is supposedly launching the Nehalem-based Bloomfield processors earlier than planned.
Intel was scheduled to release the Bloomfield CPUs in December. Now the rumored launch date is September with CPUs and motherboards actually appearing in the channel in October.

Intel Nehalem, Dunnington, Tukwila and Larabee Details
Intel revealed details about their upcoming products with new codenames for you to get familiar with: Nehalem, Dunnington, Tukwila and Larabee.
Pat Gelsinger, Intel Senior Vice President, disclosed details around Intel's multi-processor (MP) servers based on Intel's 6-core processor codenamed "Dunnington" and Intel's new Itanium processor codenamed "Tukwila." Gelsinger discussed current hot enterprise topics, including virtualization and the new SPEC power benchmark for measuring server energy efficiency, in which Intel-based systems hold all of the top 20 spots.
