SkyCross Unveils iMAT Antennas for Bluetooth and WiFi on Netbooks
Netbooks are hot right now and sales of the machines and hardware that drive them like CPUs are booming. The thing about netbooks is that they are small and lightweight and many of them offer very long battery life. The downside is that the smaller form factor makes it hard to get all the features users might want into the devices.
Convergence in the notebook and netbook market is very important as each time we can combine multiple functions into one device it reduces weight and allows new features to be added. SkyCross has done just that with the announcement of a new antenna called the iMAT antenna that allows simultaneous Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in one antenna rather than two. Read more

Asus 1005HA XP And Windows 7 Netbooks Dominate Amazon Netbook Sales Chart
Before the Windows 7 launch, the Asus 1005HA with Windows XP, was already leading the netbook sales charts on Amazon. After the launch, a couple of new Windows 7 netbooks came close or even lead the charts for a while. Now things seem to have settled in favor of the Asus 1005HA.
The first 4 spots on the netbook sales charts are taken by Asus Eee 1005HA models: Two XP and two Windows 7 Eee PCs. As already observed last weekend there is still the weird fact that the XP netbook still outsells the newer Windows 7 version.

Lenovo ThinkPad Netbook: Out January 5th?
All those rumors about a Lenovo ThinkPad netbook just got a little more credence. ThinkPadToday appears to have received confirmation from someone that the first ThinkPad netbook, which will be called the X100e, will be out January 5, 2010. The slogan for this new product is purported to be, “Entry level ultra portable, the first ThinkPad of its size”.
No details about the hardware on the X100e have been released yet, and Lenovo still has yet to confirm or deny the rumors. As of right now, it's still entirely possible this product does not exist. However, the evidence against that is increasingly heavily stacked. Several images have leaked out, and rumors about the new netbooks continue to sprout like wildflowers.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330 Windows 7 Netbook Review
All the major netbook makers unveiled Windows 7 netbooks back in October. One of the more popular is the Toshiba Mini NB205.
Liliputing has tested the Toshiba Mini NB205-N330 and published this review.
Quote from the review: "The Toshiba Mini NB205-N330 is an interesting machine. It has an excellent, if somewhat quirky keyboard and the best touchpad I’ve used that doesn’t support multitouch gestures.

Is A Lenovo ThinkPad Netbook On The Way?
Well well, it looks like some tigers do change their stripes. A recent series of leaked photos (via Engadget) has the tech world thinking that a Lenovo ThinkPad netbook might be in the offing. Verizon's New Netbook: The Vaio P?
Verizon already carries three netbooks and, if this rumor from PhoneArena (via Electronista) is correct, a fourth is on the way. The Sony Vaio P netbook is said to be making its way to Big Red for a very low price; $300. The Vaio P retails for $850, which means quite a subsidy from Verizon, and quite a deal for their customers.

Sprint Launches The Dell Mini 10 Netbook
Alright, so the rumors were a day off. The Dell Mini 10 still launched today on Sprint's 3G network. Their press release makes this bog standard 10.1” Windows XP netbook sound much more exciting than it really is. The Mini 10 features an Atom Z520 processor, 160 GB HD, WiFi and 1.3 MP camera. That's about as 'run of the mill' as a netbook gets.

Weird: Windows XP Netbooks Still Outsell Windows 7 Netbooks
For short time the HP Mini 110 Windows 7 netbook lead the Amazon Netbook sales charts last week. Now the first three places are taken up by Windows XP netbooks again. Why is that? Customers still prefer XP over Windows 7 Starter? Is it the price? Do customers do not know that there is a Windows 7 version available? Let’s have a closer look at this situation.
The bestselling netbook is again the Asus Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X like in the weeks before the Windows 7 launch.

HP Mini 110 Windows 7 Netbook Leads Bestseller Charts
Windows 7 netbooks have been on sale since Thursday when Microsoft officially launched Windows 7. Amazon has one of the broadest selections of netbooks on sale. My initial tip that the Asus Eee PC 1005HA with Windows 7 Starter would be the bestselling Windows 7 netbook was wrong. The new HP Mini 110 is currently #1 followed by three Asus Eee PC 1005HA netbooks (two XP and one running Win7).
Features of the HP Mini 110 include 1.6Ghz N270 Atom CPU, 1GB RAM, 10.1" LED Anti-glare display, 160GB HDD, 802.11g Wifi, 92% of full-size keyboard, 6-cell battery and Windows 7 Starter.
