Nintendo DSi unveiled Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review The rumors became true today and Nintendo announced a new Nintendo DS portable game console dubbed Nintendo DSi.
The Nintendo DSi features a larger 3.25 inch LCD display and as far as I can see, two integrated cameras. There is one on the inside for self portraits and one on the outside cover. Nintendo has now integrated a music player in the Nintendo DSi that plays tracks from SD cards.
The measurements of the DSi are slightly thinner than the DS Lite with a thickness of 18.9mm. Read more

The new Nintendo DS is rumored to include two touch screen (currently only one has a touch interface), a built-in camera, and SD card slot.

The SD Card slot would allow you to finally store data like music on the DS. It could also be used to exchange data with the Wii. Read more

Nintendo DS outsold Sony PSP in August Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Sony updated the PSP the 2nd time now. Nintendo only updated the DS once until now, but still outsells the Sony portable Playstation.
In August Nintendo sold 518,300 DS consoles. Sony only made half that number with 253,000 PSP consoles sold in the United States. The PSP number is actually not that bad considering a new PSP has been already announced.

The new Sony PSP is the PSP-3000 model, which Sony announced in August, but shipping starts actually in October. Read more

Nintendo sold more than 448,000 Wii consoles in the United States, bringing the lifetime U.S. total to nearly 12 million.
DS console sales even reached 514,000 for last month bringing the total to 22 million units.

Five games made for Nintendo systems placed in the top 10 best-selling games of the month, including Wii Fit at No. 4 with nearly 395,000 sold, Mario Kart Wii at No. 5 with nearly 329,000 sold, Wii Play at No. 6 with more than 200,000 sold, Madden NFL 09 All-Play for Wii at No. 9 with nearly 116,000 sold and Guitar Hero: On Tour for Nintendo DS at No. 10 with more than 111,000 sold. Speculations on what Nintendo would release as a Wii 2 are manifold. Sony sold 256,765 PSP consoles and Nintendo sold 217,639 units.
