Toshiba Satellite T135 Windows 7 CULV Notebook Review
The Toshiba T135 CULV Windows 7 Notebook starts at $599 on Amazon.com.
Hothardware has tested the Toshiba T135 and published this review.
Quote from the review: "We're seeing more and more CULV notebooks hit the market these days. The growing sector of Consumer Ultra Low Voltage machines attempts to bridge the gap between lower cost netbooks and full-size notebooks, offering a more powerful chip than the ubiquitous Atom options we see in netbooks, but one that consumes less power than the mainstream Core 2 Duo processors we see in many full-size notebooks.

MSI Launches Wind12 U230 Light Notebook
Am I the only one that thinks we have too many categories of notebook these days? It's getting to the point where it's hard to tell just what should be called what. Take the new MSI Wind12 U230. (via Engadget) It weighs less than 3 pounds (2.9, to be exact) and it packs a power-efficient 1.6 GHz Athlon Neo X2 processor. So far it sounds like a netbook.
Ahh...but it only offers 4 hours of battery life, and it comes with a 12.1” screen, which moves it from netbook to ultra-portable notebook. I think. Honestly, what we call it doesn't matter. It looks pretty and it has a “Brand new msi Ergonomic De-stress Keyboard”. Although I can't personally speak to how ergonomic that keyboard is, MSI seems to be quite proud of it.

ASUS G51VX-A1 15.6-inch Gaming Notebook Review
Tweaktown also tested the new ASUS G51VX-A1 15.6-inch Gaming Notebook. Read our Asus G51VX review here.
Quote from the review: "Back again with a new notebook and this time we are checking out the ASUS G51VX gaming notebook. It is a very nice change of pace to see a full on gaming notebook sitting on my desk rather than another netbook. ASUS is certainly more known for its netbooks than anything else, but the company knows how to build a nice gaming notebook, too.

Asus G51VX Gaming Notebook Computer Review
Today I am checking out the Asus G51Vx gaming notebook. The machine has a quad core processor, NVIDIA graphics and much more. The gaming prowess of the notebook is very good.
The notebook is heavy and sucks battery power quickly, but many gamers will be willing to give up battery life for performance. The real question is will gamers be willing to cough up the high price tag Asus wants for the machine. Read more

Finding My Windows 7 Notebook: A Retail Odyssey
My journey began Wednesday night, at the Fry's Windows 7 Midnight Release Party. I spent hours there, talking to other customers and browsing a wide selection of laptops and netbooks, looking for the one that would be mine. Unfortunately, none of the machines I saw at Fry's that night met my needs. I have very specific requirements for my notebook.
In a few days, I'll be off to the U.K. After that I have a long jaunt in southeast Asia planned, followed by a leisurely ramble around central Europe. Because I'm fortunate enough to write for the Internet for a living, I'll continue to work my full-time job during my travels. In order to do that though I'm going to need a notebook to work (and live) out of.

Asus UL30A CULV Notebook Review
Our review partner Digital Trends tested the Asus UL30A CULV Notebook and published this review.
Quote from the review: "A netbook makes a fine travel notebook to check up on e-mail, find night life destinations on Google maps, and tap out a few quick journal entries, but for heavy lifting, Intel's Atom is a garden trowel where a backhoe is needed. Yet for anyone who needs a little more, there's an awfully intimidating price gap to leap to get to a full-fledged Intel Core 2 Duo machine, and when you get to the other side, the weight might have you wishing for your Atom back.
