iSkin revo2 Available for iPhone 3G
As we expected the iPhone 3G is an insanely hot item right now as are accessories for the phone. One of the most popular accessory types for the iPhone 3G are protective cases to keep the iPhone looking new.
The latest case to be announced for the iPhone 3G is iSkin's revo2. We first saw the revo2 last year when the original iPhone was launched. The case fits the iPhone 3G snugly and protects from drops, shock, dirt, dust, and moisture. Read more

iPhone 3G Free on O2 in UK
The rumor yesterday that O2 would offer the new iPhone 3G for free in the UK have proofed to be true. O2 offers with the £45 ($88) and £75 ($147) plans the iPhone 3G for free.
We have checked in with AT&T to confirm that the $199 price Steve Jobs called out for the iPhone 3G is already the subsidized price AT&T will be offering the iPhone 3G. US customers are 'not as lucky' as UK's and need to pony up the $199 for the new iPhone 3G.
Of course you can also look at the bright side. Monthly fees are a bit lower for the iPhone 3G in the States.

Telefonica To Buy O2 - Will My Phone Speak Spanish Now?
Spanish Mobile Phone company Telefonica makes a bid for O2. Europe's 6th largest mobile phone company.
Telefonica offers 17.7 billion pounds (~$31.5 billion) for O2. O2 is active in the UK and Germany. Telefonica and O2 together would have 116 million users world-wide. I have O2 in Germany. Usually such mergers have no impact for end consumers for a long time, if at all. The situation will be most likely different fo the employees as staff usually gets cut after a merger like that.

O2 UMTS Modem for Home Broadband Internet Access
Mobile Phone Company O2 is supposedly about to introduce a UMTS modem for home internet access in Germany.
The O2 Surf@Home service delivers 384 und 64 kBit/s downstream and 64kbit/s upstream. The usage is charged based on online time. No pricing fixed yet.
Obviously the UMTS home modem is only interesting for the "jinxed" people who cannot get a DSL line into their home. The fun part is, most likely UMTS is also not available in those areas yet. Additionally O2 plans to first introduce the Surf@Home service only in city areas.
Sounds more like a nice field test, like most of the UMTS stuff out there.
More details on Heise (German).

The number one position was held for the longest time by the .
The 4GB Player sells for about $200 at Amazon.com. That is about $50 less than an iPod Mini.
Apparently another reason to buy the 4GB Muvo2 is to rip out its 4GB Micro-Drive to use it in other Gadgets like Digital Cameras.
A standalone 4GB 1" Microdrive costs about $400-$500. So it is a bargain to take it out from player.
See Story on Gizmodo for details.
