NVIDIA 8800 Ultra Paper Launches Today
Today NVIDIA has taken a route that they normally don’t take in an effort to stop the leaks that normally plague the launch of their new products. To protect the specs of the new NVIDIA 8800 Ultra they have no cards available to buy, but the cards should be available around May 15th.
The new 8800 Ultra will have features and specifications fairly close to those of the 8800 GTX. The reason for that is that the 8800 Ultra is based on the 8800 GTX with some tweaks to allow for performance higher than what the GTX can attain. Read more

Racing Car Center Lock Toilet Paper Holder
If you are a racing fan or a general car nut next time you have to make a pit stop in the bathroom this toilet paper holder may make for an interesting change. If you need to change the roll you can time yourself to see how long your pit stop takes.
The device measures in at 7.67 inches long and 5.12 inches high. The holder is CNC-machined from billet aluminum and the base is stamped steel. I’m not sure if the TP holder would hold the double rolls or not from the looks of it. Read more

Magnetic Printer Paper Lets Your Email Hang Around
I’m not sure why I haven’t seen magnetic paper before, it’s a great idea. We all have things we print from our computers that we want to keep. Typically we put a tack through them and hang them on the wall.
This paper works in normal ink jet printers, but has a magnetic backing that allows you to stick the printed document to most metal objects like filing cabinets, fridges or magnetic white erase boards. Read more

Rainbow Technology Stores Hundreds of Gigabytes on an A4 Size Page of Paper
Paper may be making a comeback into the office environment after loosing ground to the paperless electronic office. How you ask? A student from Kerala in India (south-west coast) has developed a method of storing data on plain sheets of A4 sized paper.
Before anyone starts making jokes, I’m not talking about handwriting. The data is placed onto the paper in high-density geometric shapes. The technology is called Rainbow Versatile Disc or RVD and can store a whopping 90 to 450GB of data and can even playback video clips in addition to storing written data. Read more

E-Paper Video Demo - The Future of Newspapers, Baby!
We're certainly no stranger to cool e-paper concepts, so this concept is certainly not new, but what is worth noting about this one from Plastic Logic, aside from the fact that there's actually a video showing the paper in action, is that it's actually being shown in a useful application, namely as a newspaper.
Plastic Logic is all about being the leader in electronic/plastic innovation. From their site: "Plastic Logic is developing and exploiting world-class technology for manufacturing printed plastic electronic circuits. These circuits are constructed using solution processing and direct-write techniques and consist of transistors and other components that are produced from polymers and a variety of other materials."
