BlackBerry 8230 Pearl Flip For Verizon: Available June 19th
It sure as hell doesn't look like a BlackBerry, but the Pearl Flip 8230 is as much a member of the family as the Storm or the Bold. It packs a 324MHz processor, OS 4.6.0, a 2 megapixel camera, GPS, vertical QVGA display, and a SureType keyboard. It looks like a great little business phone/personal organizer, and the keyboard (while not as good as a full QWERTY) is definitely the best texting numpad I've seen.

Alltel Announces Blackberry Pearl Flip 8230
Alltel Wireless has announced that it is now offering its customers the Blackberry Pearl Flip 8230 smartphone. The device is the only clamshell style Blackberry and it will be available in stores and online in May.
The internal LCD of the device has a screen resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and the external display allows users to see who is calling before they open the phone. Under the cover of the phone is a QWERTY SureType keyboard, navigation trackball and more. Read more

BlackBerry Pearl Flip Now Available to Purchase

The 2.4-inch internal screen has a resolution of 320 x 240 and Stereo Bluetooth is integrated. We already know that T-Mobile will be the exclusive provider of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip from the introduction in September. T-Mobile and BlackBerry announced today that the Pearl Flip 8220 is now available to purchase. The device retails for $349.99 and T-Mobile is offering a $150 instant rebate and a $50 mail-in rebate for customers with a new 2-year agreement. Read more

BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 unveiled
RIM today unveiled the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone, the first BlackBerry phone to come in the flip form factor.
The quad-band EDGE based BlackBerry Pearl Flip smartphone features a chrome-finished frame surrounding its smooth, luminescent face. The 8220 weighs 3.6 ounces and measures approximately 3.9x1.9x0.7inches.
Features of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 include light-sensing color display with QVGA resolution, an external secondary LCD screen, Speaker Independent Voice Recognition (SIVR) for Voice Activated Dialing (VAD), Bluetooth 2.0, SureType QWERTY keyboard, 2MP camera and Wifi.
