Viewsonic Unveils New Digital Photo Frames

Viewsonic has announced a new family of digital photo frames that includes the 10.4-inch VFD1020, the 8-inch VFD820, and the 7-inch VFD720. The frames all fall into the TrueView line and all have a 4:3 aspect ratio to display digital photos with minimal distortion.

The resolution on the 7-inch and 8-inch digital photo frames is 800 x 600; resolution on the 7-inch frames is not typically that high. All of the frames offer remote controls to change images from across the room. Read more

Sony Introduces VAIO CP1 Digital Photo Frame

Sony has announced a new digital photo frame at CEDIA in Denver this week. The frame uses Wi-Fi to get images wirelessly from a PC or the internet. The frame can also stream Internet radio stations in real-time.

Resolution is 800 x 480 and measures 7-inches diagonally. The ability to stream images from Google Picasa is also integrated. Images can be displayed directly from Memory Stick media, SD cards, or digital still cameras. The frame has 128Mb of internal memory and can display RSS feeds as well. Prinics Digital Photo Frame with Printer Launches

Prinics is certainly not a name I am familiar with, but it has a new product that is cool. The product is a digital photo frame that has a built-in printer. This would allow you to view and print your digital pictures without needing a computer.

The frame can print 5x7, 5x4, 3.5x4, and 3 x 4 images. The print cartridge installs on the side of the frame and the device has a graphics interface for printing the images out. The frame is available with both 7-inch and 8-inch screens. Read more

Kodak EasyShare P520 Digital Photo Frame

Digital photo frames get more popular each year and are typically one of the more popular gift items at the holidays. The new EasyShare P520 uses a quick touch navigation bar to allow you to navigate through the menus and keep fingerprints off the screen.

Samsung Launches New LCD Photo Frames

Samsung announced a new line of LCD photo frames that includes four models -- SPF-85H, SPF-85V, SPF-105P, and SPF-105V. The 85H and 85V frames have an 8-inch screen and will sell for $129.99 and $199.99 respectively. The 85V is Wi-Fi enabled and both will be available on September 1st

The 105P and 105V both use 10-inch screens and will be available on October 1st. The 105V is Wi-Fi enabled and will sell for $289.99 with the 105P selling for $199.99.
