I would rather see Adobe offering a Flash player for the iPhone than a Photoshop App for the iPhone, but that is all we get for now.

Adobe Unveils Photoshop Elements 8 & Premiere Elements 8 Bundle
Adobe has rolled out the latest versions of its consumer level photo and video editing applications. The new versions include Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8. The applications are available in both individually and in a boxed set.
The new software includes an advanced organizer to allow the management of all content from one location. Photoshop Elements 8 (PSE8) has new features like Photomerge Exposure to create a perfectly lit photos showing details by combining multiple shots of the same scene. Quick Fix previews a series of images that are automatically adjusted to allow the user to select their favorite. Read more

Adobe Launches Photoshop Elements 7 and Premier Elements 7
Adobe has announced new versions of Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements bringing both applications to version 7. The products can be purchased as standalone items or as a bundle pack. The applications allow for photo and video editing when used together.
Adobe announced a new Photoshop.com service that can be purchased along with the software that provides templates and creative tutorials to help users get the most out of the software. Other features include online backup, access to photos and video anywhere, and interactive options. Read more

Adobe Launches Photoshop Lightroom 2
Adobe announced today that Photoshop Lightroom 2 is now available. The application is a toolbox for photographers that make managing, adjusting, and presenting lots of digital images easier to do. The new version of Lightroom adds support for dual monitors, streamlined search, and non-destructive image enhancement.
Lightroom 2 is the first Adobe application to support 64-bit Mac OS X 10.5 and 64-bit Windows. The application can organize images across multiple hard drives. Images can have keywords associated with them and helps make intelligent suggestions for keywords to make searching easier. Lightroom 2 is available now for $299 or $99 for users upgrading from the original version. Read more

CS Next Photoshop to get GPU Acceleration
The next version of Adobe Photoshop is supporting hardware acceleration.
TG Daily reports about a Photoshop presentation with GPU support that sounds very promising. Quote:" We saw the presenter playing with a 2 GB, 442 megapixel image like it was a 5 megapixel image on an 8-core Skulltrail system. Changes made through image zoom and through a new rotate canvas tool were applied almost instantly. Another impressive feature was the import of a 3D model into Photoshop, adding text and paint on a 3D surface and having that surface directly rendered with the 3D models' reflection map."
