THQ Debuts Pixar Cars Game at E3
THQ and Disney Interactive Studios will be debuting a new racing game based on the Pixar Cars franchise. The game is called Cars Race-O-Rama and it will ship in the fall of 2009 for the Wii, Xbox, PS3, PSP, PS2, and DS.
The game lets players join Lightning McQueen and chick hicks in Radiator Springs to prepare student racers to compete in Race-O-Rama. The game offers players 12 new playable characters and an improved Lightning McQueen with special racing kits for different race environments including off-road. Read more

Official: Disney Buys Pixar for $7.4 Billion - Steve Jobs Joins Disney's Board
Disney officially announced the purchase of Pixar Animation Studios. We reported about the
acquisition plans on Sunday.
In an all-stock transaction, expected to be completed by this summer, 2.3 Disney shares will be issued for each Pixar share. Based on Pixar's fully diluted shares outstanding, the transaction value is $7.4 billion ($6.3 billion net of Pixar's cash of just over $1 billion, Based on Disney's closing share price of $25.52 as of 1/23/06).
Pixar Chairman and CEO Steve Jobs will be appointed to Disney's Board of Directors as a non-independent member. With the addition of Jobs, 11 of Disney's 14 directors will be independent.
"Disney and Pixar can now collaborate without the barriers that come from two different companies with two different sets of shareholders," said Jobs. "Now, everyone can focus on what is most important, creating innovative stories, characters and films that delight millions of people around the world."

Disney Pixar Takeover Decision Early This Week?
The Reuters reports that the Disney Board meets Monday to decide if and how they are going to buy Pixar Animation Studios.
Update:
Looks like the Disney Board confirmed the purchase of Pixar.
Last week the news broke that Disney is in talks to buy Pixar for $6.7 billion. The deal would make Apple's CEO Steve Jobs who also CEO of Pixar would become Disney's largest largest individual shareholder, which could be the basis for a board seat.
So we could potentially already know this week if Disney buys Pixar.
