Porsche Carma Concept Design
French design students at the Institut Supérieur de Design developed a very hot design for a Porsche 911 inspired car dubbed Carma.
The design takes special emphasis on aerodynamics and is able to drop the Porsche typical spoiler in the rear.
It is not known if Porsche took notice of this design. It aesthetically pleases me so I could imagine Porsche cars looking like that in the future.

Sagem Porsche P9521 Phone Review
Sagem announced the Porsche designed P'9521 mobile phone in June. LetsGoMobile got their hands on this sexy Porsche mobile phone and published a review with several photos.
Quote from the review: "The name Porsche stands for exclusivity and stylish design. The Porsche cell phone lives up to these standards; it is a real eye-catcher. Its weight of 140 grams does not make the P'9521 a lightweight but it makes him feel very solid. The high quality finishing is superb with materials like glass and aluminum used as a base.

IAA 2005: Hybrid Porsche Cayenne Coming
Porsche said on the IAA 2005 that they plan a Hybrid Porsche Cayenne.
Do not expect a Porsche Cayenne Hybrid SUV anytime soon at your personal Porsche dealer. Around 2010 it might be available.
The German Car makers are very late to the hybrid technology. Japanese car makers are miles ahead. VW announced together with their Audi and Porsche units hybrid technology push. Apparently Audi will already show a hybrid of the new Audi Q7 at the IAA, which should hit the roads in 2008.
I am all for alternative engine technologies. The car industry is way to focused on horse power. The current fuel prices help to drive the need for alternative energy.

Porsche Goes Soap Box Racing
QuenteCafe reports about Extreme Gravity Racing, which is a downhill race for vehicles with no engines to compete in (fancy name for Soap box racing).
Major manufacturers such as Porsche, Volvo, Mazda, Bentley, Nissan and General Motors are involved in this competition. This is an interesting competition because it allows competitors to fully focus on design rather than their performance engines. My guess is that there is a weight restriction on the vehicles. More details and photos on Gizmo.com.au.
Well I still prefer a Porsche with a motor, like the Porsche Carrera GT.
