LG introduced a new Prada phone, the LG-KF900 with slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
The new 3G HSDPA LG Prada features besides the new keyboard a 5MP camera with Schneider Kreuzach lens, 3 inch WQVGA 400×240px touchscreen, Wi-fi, Prada ring-tones, FM tuner, TV out, Bluetooth, media player, and Bluetooth.
The Prada II is a very complete smartphone with the already proven clean Prada style. The only thing missing from the rich feature set of the new Prada 2 is GPS for navigation. Read more

The specifications of the next LG Prada phone has apparently been leaked in Asia. Update: New LG Prada II LG-KF900 is official.

The LG Prada II phone would be hitting the market in Q4 2008. The new features would include HSDPA, 3 inch WQVGA 400×240px display, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, TV-out, Bluetooth, USB, and slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Read more

LG Prada Phone sold 800,000 times in first Year

The LG Prada phone sold 800,000 units globally in its first year on the market.

LG says in an article on Chosun that they still sell the phone for 880,000 Won, about $870 and do not give discounts. O2 in Germany hands out the LG Prada for 50 Euro (~$80) with contract right now. I cannot really imagine that O2 eats all of the difference. If it is really the case that LG charged $870 for each of the 800,000 sold Prada phones than this is really a nice success for the company and the fashion label Prada. Read more

LG announces a new version of their Prada phone. The LG LG-KE850 comes now also in silver to complement the already available black Prada phone.

LG already sold over 700,000 Prada phones world-wide. This is pretty amazing considering the high price.

Last week at the AMD event, I attended there were all sorts of gadgets there that I didn’t know had AMD tech inside. One of the gadgets floating around the place was the Prada phone from LG.

Amazon offers now the LG Prada phone, which is actually only available from carriers in Europe.

The stylish LG KE850 Prada Phone is a GSM phone with touch screen like the iPhone.

LG releases onto the Korean market the Prada Phone with DMB TV.

The LG LG-SB310 and LG LB3100 support watching TV in 4:3 or 16:9 format on the large 3 inch touch screen of the Prada Phone.
The TV antenna is styled in black with the Prada logo on it.

Other specifications of the Korean market Prada phone seem to be the same as the Prada phone available in Europe since a couple weeks.

Prada Phone Review

Shiny Shiny published a review of the upcoming Prada Phone straight from the Prada Show from the Milan Fashion Week.

"From the lengthy play I had with it, Prada have definitely injected some of their high-end opulence into the mobile, right down to the ringtones. I was quite surprised by how industrial the eight ringtones were, they were almost sci-fi, and not the bubbly, almost euro-dance tunes I was expecting.
After seeing the Prada fashion show that night however, I understood their choice of music for the phone, for they matched the 'choons played as the models sauntered down the catwalk. "

Samsung F700 the ''Ueber'' LG Prada Phone?

Samsung announced the Ultra Smart F700 Touch screen mobile phone with slide-out QWERTY keyboard this week. Taking a quiet minute today admiring the hi-res photos Samsung published of the F700, it came to me that the User interface is similar to the LG Prada phone (see photo).

It is really a strange coincident that Samsung also goes with black background and simple white icons for the application menu on the F700. The LG Prada phone has the same look.
Feature-wise the Samsung F700 leaves the LG Prada phone in the dust with HSDPA, 5MP Camera, Slide-out QUERTY keyboard etc.

LG releases the Details on Prada Phone

LG officially announces the Prada Phone. Word about a Prada mobile phone appeared early December.

Similar to the Apple iPhone the Prada Phone is also an all touch-screen mobile phone. The LG KE850 is of course all Prada black and features grey and white minimalist user interface. I like Prada 's minimalist fashion style that is why the look of the Prada Phone also is attractive to me. Others might say it is too boring.

Prada's involvement apparently really was more than just slapping their logo on the phone. LG says that Prada was involved in exterior aesthetics, user experience, ring tones, pre-loaded content, mobile phone accessories and the exclusive leather case.

It took a while until Prada catched on that the Dolce Gabbana gold RAZR is a big seller.
The Prada cell phone is supposed to be a combination of high-end technology and avant-garde design and not just a simple paint job.
