Sony PS3 will see no Price Cut for Christmas says Sony

Sony's CEO smashes hopes that Sony would lower the price of the Sony PS3 console in time for the Holidays. Kazuo Hirai told the Financial Times that the current PS3 pricing is the one that Sony will go into the Holiday shopping season.
Sony is arguing that the Sony PS3 is a better value than rivals half its price.

We already reported last week that besides consumers also industry analysts would like to see a price drop amidst the much lower pricing of the Xbox 360 and the economic uncertainties. Read more

4th Motion has announced that it has dropped the price of its Gyroxus full-motion video game chair by $100. The Gyroxus can now be purchased for $389. The Gyroxus is fully compatible with the PS3, Xbox 360 and with Games for Windows on the PC.

The maker says that the Gyroxus chair puts a new dimension into flight sims like Warhawk and driving games like Motorstorm and Burnout Paradise. FPD titles like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 also work with the game as do titles like Madden NFL and Fight Night. Read more

Microsoft Xbox 360 Price Cut is Official

Microsoft confirmed the leaked price cuts for the Xbox 360 with an official announcement.

Beginning on August 8th (tomorrow, Wednesday) the Xbox 360 console will be selling for $50 less.
The Xbox 360 premium (Amazon.com) will then be on sale for $349.99 and the Xbox 360 Core (Amazon.com) will sell for $279.99.

The black Xbox 360 Elite (Amazon.com) with 120GB HDD will be priced at $449.99. Read more

We covered Sony PS2 price-cut rumors just a week ago. Sony did not cut the price to the hoped $99 and only shaved off $20 from the PS2 price-tag.

E3 2004: Sony Playstation 2 price cut to $149.99

PS2 Aqua Sony just announced at the E3 2004 a price cut of the Playstation 2 to $149.99.

As anticipated Sony follows Microsoft's earlier Xbox price-cut move.

Sony UX80 Rumor and UX50 Price Cut

Rumors about a new version of the Sony UX PDA Series are making the rounds on the Net.

The UX80 has supposedly more RAM, a better keyboard and a better Camera.

Also the UX40 and UX50 have been reduced in price.
The Sony UX40 sells on Amazon.com for $499.00 after $50 mail-in rebate.
The Sony UX50 sells for $599.99 after $50 mail-in rebate.
