Dell Unveils New ink Jet Printer Line
Dell has unveiled a new line of AIO ink jet printers that include models with touch screens and wireless connectivity. The line includes the P713w, V715w, V515w, P513w, V313, and V313w. The printers all have some common features with print speeds up to 33 ppm in mono and 30 ppm in color.
Copy speeds for the line are 25 ppm mono and 21 ppm in color. The printers all feature an Eco-Mode that switches to power saver after 10 minutes. Each model with a "w" designation features wireless connectivity. Read more

Sony announced a new digital photo frame in its S-Frame series that has a photo printer integrated.
The Sony DPP-F700 Photo Frame with Built-in Printer allows you to not only view photos, but print 4 x 6-inch professional quality 300 x 300 dpi photos instantly in just 45 seconds.
The Sony DPP-F700 photo frame and printer has a 7-inch color screen with WVGA resolution (800x480).

Epson Expands its Compact Photo Printer Line with PictureMate Charm
Epson has a line of printers that run form larger business and consumer units for use in the home or office to small portable printers designed to allow users to print their images wherever they are. Epson has added a new printer to its portable PictureMate line called the Charm.
The Charm has a 2.5-inch LCD that lets users crop, print, and view photos without a PC. The LCD also allows for basic editing of photos like red eye removal and application of filters like B&W and sepia. The printer produces 4x6 prints in as little as 37 seconds. Read more

Epson Unveils PictureMate Charm Photo Printer
Epson has unveiled a new compact photo printer called the PictureMate Charm. The printer is a portable personal photo studio for users who want to print photos out on the go. The inks used in the printer promise to be good for 96 years under glass and over 200 years in a dark album.
The printer has a 2.5-inch LCD screen and can do basic photo editing within the printer like red eye removal and choose from B&W, sepia, or color prints. The device will print from all memory card formats and has built-in memory card slots. Read more

Canon Unveils New Printers for Home and Office
Canon has announced three new printers for its Pixma line including the MP990, MP640, and the ix7000. The Canon ix7000 is a printer that is aimed at office users offering the ability to make professional looking documents and reducing printing costs. The printer handles paper as large as 11 x 17 or 13 x 19. The ink used in the printer is clear and there are five pigment tanks to color it. The printer sells for $399.99.
The MP990 and MP640 printers are both all in one designs that are intended for home users needing to print photos and other items. Both of them feature Auto Photo Fix II. Canon also added a new photo printer to its line called the Selphy ES40. Read more

Lexmark Unveils Web-enabled AIO Business Printers
Lexmark has announced a pair of web connected printers aimed at small and medium businesses. The printers both feature a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen and will be priced at $199 to $399. The printers are designed with shortcuts and workflows built-in and have an ID card copy function.
The printers can also display RSS feeds and RSS feed info can be emailed from the printers. Features include Vizix print technology with separate ink tanks and fast print speeds. The printers both integrate 802.11n technology for the fastest speeds. Read more

Canon Launches New Pixma and Selphy Printers
Canon has announced a couple new printers for users looking to print photos and more. The new Pixma MP560 Wireless Photo AIO printer is the most compact Canon inkjet printer to feature wireless and auto-duplex printing. The printer is also the first from canon to allow printing of images directly from USB flash drives.
The MP560 can print a borderless 4x6 in 39 seconds and uses five individual ChromaLife 100 ink tanks. Other features include a 2-inch LCD and the printer will retail for $149.99. Canon also unveiled a Pixma MP490 AIO that uses four ink cartridges and offers a 1.8-inch screen for $99.99. Read more

HP Unveils Web-connected Home Printer
HP has announced a new printer that is hailed as the world's first web-enabled printer. The reason for the web connectivity is to give users access to popular digital content. The large touchscreen is used to browse content online.
Users can download apps for the printer from HP and more apps will be offered as time goes by. The apps that are available with the printer now allow users to print custom daily news, maps, coupons, coloring pages, movie tickets, recipes and more. Read more

Epson Debuts New Low Cost All-in-one Printers
One of the most common accessories to any laptop or notebook computer in the home or office is a printer. We all need top print things at one time or another from photos to emails and documents. Epson has announced four new all-in-one printers including the Stylus NX115, NX215, NX415, and NX515. The printers retail for $69.99, $89.99, $99.99, and $149.99 respectively.
Each of the printers can print, scan, and copy with the NX215 claiming the distinction of being the first all-in-one at its price point with a 1.5-inch color LCD and memory card slots. The 415 has a 2.5-inch LCD and offers PictBridge support. Read more

HP Officejet 7000 Printer for Business Unveiled
HP has announced new printers aimed at businesses looking to save on printing costs and energy usage. The new printers include the HP Officejet 6000 and 7000 printer series. The 6000 series printers range from $89 to $119 and feature embedded wired and wireless printing capability along with automatic dual sided printing. The 6000 series will debut in June.
The Officejet 7000 series offers a single product that is the entry-level wide format printer from HP. The printer sells for $229, has individual ink tanks, and delivers the lowest cost per page in its class. The printer can produce photo quality poster prints in up to 13 x 19 inch sizes and will ship in July. Read more

Xerox Multifunction Printer Slashes Print Costs 62%
Xerox announced a breakthrough printer yesterday that uses solid ink cubes rather than liquid ink tanks to produce color and black copies. The new multifunction printer is the ColorCube 9200 series and the solid inks promise to lower the environmental impact of office printing.
The cartridge free design uses 90% less supplies and reduces waste compared to traditional tanks. The solid ink sticks are like crayons according to Xerox. The printer uses a hybrid color plan that allows documents to be printed and users only pay for the color they need. Text pages with a small company logo will cost about one penny to print. Read more

New App Lets iPhone Print to any Epson Printer
There have been more than a few times when I wanted to print something from my iPhone to a printer nearby. Epson has announced a new app for the iPhone that lets users print to any Epson printer directly from the smartphone.
The app is called the EuroSmartz Print & Share app that allows users to print photos, business documents, PDF files, web pages, email, and more. The application will work for both the iPhone and the iPod touch. Read more

IOGEAR Unveils USB Net Share Station and Printer Auto Share Switch
IOGEAR launched a couple new products this week called the Printer Auto Share Switch and the USB Net ShareStation. The printer switch has dual USB ports and allows the sharing of two USB devices like a printer and an external hard drive. The printer switch is compatible with both Mac and PCs.
The USB Net Share Station has four USB ports and lets multiple users access up to four USB devices like external hard drives, printers, and scanners across a network. When the device is hooked to a wireless router wireless access to the connected devices is offered. Read more

Canon Launches Compact Color Photo Printer
The Canon name may be more closely associated with digital cameras, but the firm makes a full line of printers for photo enthusiasts as well. Canon has announced its latest photo printer called the Selphy CP780. The compact printer is available in silver, pink, and blue colors and the colors match the new Canon Powershot SD1200 cameras introduced at the same time.
The little printer produces 4x6 color images in about 47 seconds and can print directly from the camera or from files stored on your computer. Read more

Canon Launches New All-in-One Printers
Canon has unveiled a couple of new all-in-one printers for the home office called the PIXMA MX860 and the PIXMA MX330. The MX860 offers Advanced Media Handling with Auto Duplex Copying and 2-way paper feeding. The printer can also scan and print at the same time to make things faster.
The MX860 also features wireless 802.11b/g and an Ethernet connection for easy printing and scanning. The LCD is 2.5-inches and the printer uses a five-ink tank system with a resolution of up to 9600 x 2400. The MX330 features a print resolution of up to 4800 x 2400 and uses a 1.8-inch LCD. Read more

New Canon Printer Features Clear Toner
When it comes to printers that use toner, visions of black powdery messes come to mind for most of us. Canon has introduced a new printer called the imagePRESS C1+ that features clear toner. The printer is designed for the light production and proofing markets.
The printer has 1200 x 1200 print resolution and can print up to 14 pages per minute in color and 60 ppm in black and white. Canon says that the clear toner also makes it easy for users to add watermarks to images without affecting the printer results. Read more
