I just received the statistics on the top selling products right now on Walmart and there are actually some surprises in the top 5.

Analyst says iPhone Production may be cut

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - FBR Capital Markets said on Monday that production of Apple Inc's iconic iPhone might plunge more than 40 percent in the fourth quarter from the previous period.
"Previous checks indicated that iPhone production would fall about 10 percent sequentially in calendar 4Q," said FBR's note by Craig Berger, "(but) our new checks indicate that iPhone production could fall more than 40 percent sequentially in 4Q."

MySpace, MTV test Piracy-profit Plan

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - A new technology that essentially allows content owners to profit from piracy will get a high-profile test this month from MySpace and MTV Networks.
Instead of triggering the usual take-down notices, copyright-infringing footage of select MTV Networks programing uploaded by MySpace subscribers would be automatically redistributed with advertisements that would generate revenue for the companies. MTV Networks is the parent company of such channels as MTV, BET, Comedy Central, Spike and Nickelodeon.

Panasonic Unveils National Electronics Recycling Program

Panasonic Corporation of North America has announced a new nationwide electronics recycling program to provide customers with an easy and convenient way to recycle their electronics devices. All products recycled with the program have to bear the Panasonic brand name and products can be dropped off free of charge.

The program will be managed by Electronic Manufacturers Recycling Management Company LLC, a joint venture between Panasonic, Sharp, and Toshiba. Panasonics program will begin on November 1st with 160 recycling centers in 10 states and is expected to extend to all 50 states over the next three years. Read more

Sony Profit down 90 Percent

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Sony Corp posted a 90 percent fall in quarterly profit as growing worries about the global economy sent the yen higher and hit camera sales, and the company kept its annual profit outlook of a 58 percent decline.
The steep profit slide was expected after the electronics and entertainment conglomerate last week cut its annual operating profit forecast by 57 percent, citing yen strength and slower digital camera and flat TV demand.

Honda warns on Profit as GM, Chrysler scramble for Deal

Sprint Unveils HTC Touch Pro Smartphone

Sprint has announced the HTC Touch Pro smartphone will be available on November 2nd in Sprint stores nationwide and on October 26th at select retailers. The device will retail for $299.99 with a new 2-year agreement after a $100 mail-in rebate and a $25 data plan on the Everything plan with data.

The Touch Pro features the TouchFLO 3D interface and will operate on the Sprint EV-DO Rev A broadband network. The device uses a new five row QWERTY keyboard and has built-in TV out functionality. The screen is 2.8-inch and the device measures 4.17" x 2.05" x 0.70" and weighs 5.3 ounces. Internal memory is 512MB, the camera is 3.2MP with flash, and the phone runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro. Samsung and AT&T Wireless announced that the Samsung Propel would be available at AT&T stores and online starting on October 25th. The handset is a low cost messaging device available in multiple colors.

The handset is a vertical slider with a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.2-inch display. Features include a dedicated messaging key, access to AT&T Mobile music service, AT&T Video Share, MobiTV, CV, and AT&T Navigator.
