JVC promises new benchmarks for performance and value, color accuracy, black levels and ease of use. The two THX projectors offer 30000:1 contrast ratios.

The projectors are the DLA-HD750 and DLA-HD350 for the consumer group of JVC. The JVC pro group also has new projectors unveiled at the show called the DLA-RS20 and DLA-RS10. The new projectors use the proprietary 0.7-inch full HD D-ILA device and a wide-grid optical engine. Read more

The projector uses the 1.27" 10MP DILA devices. The projector chassis is 65% smaller than similar projectors. The resolution is 1096 x 2400 allowing it to project four full HD screens at one time.

The projector lamp has an 825W Xenon lamp with 3500 ANSI lumens and adjustable power from 825W to 660W. The projector has four DVI-D inputs, Ethernet, RS-232C, and USB connections. Two lenses will be offered that allow for screen sizes up to 300". Read more

The new projectors are the VPL-VW70 and the VPL-HW10. Both are full HD 1080p resolution with 1920 x 1080 output. Other features include 24p True cinema technology.

The VW70 has a 60000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 800 ANSI lumens of brightness. The projector can be used with an optional Sony anamorphic lens giving movies in their native resolution of 2.35:1. The Sony HW10 has a contrast ratio of 30000:1 and 1000 ANSI lumens of brightness. The VW70 will retail for $8000 and the HW10 will sell for $3500 in September. Read more
