Activision today announced that the Quantum of Solace video game, based on the new Quantum of Solace and prior Casino Royale James Bond films, is available in Europe today and will ship in the U.S. on November 4th.
Developed under license from EON Productions Ltd and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM), the Quantum of Solace video game equips players with the weapons, espionage and hand-to-hand combat skills and overall charm needed to survive the covert lifestyle of legendary 007 secret agent James Bond.

EVE Online: Quantum Rise Expansion Coming
The developers behind EVE Online have announced the ninth free expansion pack for the game called EVE Online: Quantum rise. The developer says that the expansion offers limitless opportunity to talented starship pilots of New Eden.
In the expansion pack, Corporations will be able to build customizable storefronts and industrial ships are better balanced to suit the needs of industrialists and haulers. A new capitol ship called the Orca is introduced and a new certificate system helps to determine the level of a pilot. Other features include weapon linking, graphics updates, autopilot route and avoidance technique changes and more. The expansion is available for download. Read more

New James Bond Quantum of Solace Trailer
A new teaser trailer for the next James Bond has hit the web.
The new James Bond movie is called Quantum of Solace and will hit theaters in November. It will be the 2nd Bond with Daniel Craig.
Quantum of Solace looks pretty dark judging from the trailer. James is possibly on a revenge trip and is hunted by his own. The plot follows on directly from "Casino Royale," as Bond aims to uncover the truth about Vesper, the beauty who seemingly betrayed him.

D-Wave Quantum Computer
Canadian start-up D-Wave Systems, Inc., demonstrated the world's first Quantum Computer yesterday in the Silicon Valley in California.
This could be a big step in the evolution of computing, but D-Wave themselves is not totally convinced if it really is, as there are still many unknowns if their technology really can be scaled. Still D-Wave plans to sell the first Quantum Computer in 2008.

The Quantum Byte is Here! Where is my Quantum Computer?
Austrian Scientists at the IQOQI (Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information) have created the first Quantum Byte consisting of 8 Calcium Ions.
Quantum Computing is still in it's infancy. The Quantum Byte is a step forward towards the Quantum Computer (see Wiki for a definition). Quantum Computers are supposed to be super fast and solve problems conventional computers can not. Hey, I just want to surf the web faster...
The IQOQI research results are published in the new Nature magazine. The US based National Institute of Technology in Colorado only was able to great 6 bits so far. Their results are also published in the Nature magazine.
