Heliodisplay - 3D display like R2D2
Not super fresh news, but this stuff should be on I4U - The Future Technology News Site.
IO2 Technology announced that it has completed a working prototype of the Heliodisplay(TM) display, which can project TV, video and computer images into free space. The unit currently projects images as large as 27 inches (diagonal) with a capability to expand to 150 inches.
IO2 Technology current has one 27" prototype . They are building three 42" diagonal demonstration Heliodisplays in the coming months.
