Amp'd Motorola RAZR Review

Topic:

Amp'd Motorola RAZR Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Laptop Mag reviews the Amp'd Mobile powered Motorola RAZR cell phone.

Amp'd Mobile is an entertainment focused 3G mobile phone service with its own UI targeted at youth, young professionals and early adopters.

Quote from the review:
"This special edition of the RAZR was enhanced to deliver turbo speed downloads using Amp’d Mobile’s EV-DO network. Streaming videos did not take long to buffer and looked smooth, especially, when we tuned in a South Park clip of Mr. Mackay lecturing the boys on the seriousness of taking a "dookie in the urinal."
The speaker was also quite loud. On the other hand, it still takes a while for Amp’d Mobile’s slick menu screens to load, sometimes as long as 15 seconds after making a selection. "

Dolce & Gabbana Gold RAZR Phone Photos

Topic:

Dolce & Gabbana Gold RAZR Phone Photos Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review I4U reader John S. sent us photos of his limited edition Dolce & Gabbana Gold RAZR V3i phone that was announced in December.

Apparently he made these photos for his eBay auction, where he probably made real gold with the gold Motorola RAZR.
As you can see in the photo each of the 1,000 D&G RAZR phones has a unique number imprinted. This one carries the number 881. I wonder who has the gold RAZR with 1 or 1000?

See several photos of the package contents and the very pretty gold RAZR in our photo gallery.

Verizon Motorola RAZR V3c Review

Topic:

Verizon Motorola RAZR V3c Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review The Motorola RAZR V3c went on sale at Verizon early December. Our review partner Designtechnica took it through the paces and published a review.

Quote:
"Unless you've been living in Antarctica, you know and probably crave a Motorola RAZR. No other cell phone looks more at home in our futuristic view of the 21st century as the art-techno RAZR, which has made it the world's most popular cell phone. According to Motorola, around 13 million RAZRs have been sold worldwide.
Amazingly, that total was achieved without the phone being available from the U.S.'s second largest carrier, Verizon. That oversight has been corrected with the RAZR V3c.

Desirous Verizon customers will find their RAZR is superior to their friends proudly showing off their Cingular version, primarily because it is compatible with Verizon's broadband EV-DO network and Verizon's V CAST multimedia service.
Unfortunately, while currently cool, the VC3, priced at $199.99 with a two-year contract, may face a quick obsolescence. Verizon is due to launch a music service early in 2006, and the RAZR lacks both an external memory slot to easily import your MP3s and a stereo headset option. But if you're more concerned with impressing your co-workers than listening to music on your cell phone, the RAZR in any version is likely to remain the coolest phone around. "
